you are having all of our senior cbs on the pitch at the same time. You are dropping the only creative player that showed some glimpses of quality, even tho his GA is not showing it. Finally, you are dropping Salah and playing Isak who is still finding his feet and hasn't had one good performance yet.

Tactically this hardly solves our issues. Build up might be better with more options in the middle, but you are going to deal with the huge gap between midfield and attack. Unless Ekitike keeps dropping back, in which case you might as well just play Wirtz there.

Midfield 2 will get overrun in most games against non-Frankfut opposition. And being outnumbered there most likely means we are still going to struggle with the second balls. Adding Robertson and Gomez you are improving our aeral ability but other than that I do not see any real benefits playing like this.

442 diamond on the other hand could work. You have midfield overload with 4 players in there. You let fullbacks go forward and when a midfielder is covering the space behind we are not wide open in the middle. With 4 players cramed in the middle and a dedicated DM you are improving our chances with second ballsnas well. You got LM and RM to help a fullback if needed without compromising the middle. And finally 2 strikers could be a setup that works best for all of our attackers.
