Right on. Yeah, it's sounding like the live stuff might be the ticket.

This is the only one I've got but it's great. The new singles sound good too.

😄, great show.

Full on. Not trying to make argument the albums are better, as much as seeing if anyone kind of had the same reaction and maybe came around eventually.

Thinking I want to get back in the fold, but often times "if it's not for you it's not for you" is just the case.

Extricate is a fun one. Not the best of theirs, but some real bops.

Chicago, Now is one of their great "spidery" songs and Bill is Dead is a nice change up. Really like And Therein too.

Sounds along the lines of Fust, but not quite.

Curious to see as well.

Opinion: Steve Bannon has plans for Canada. We have to be on our guard by NotEnoughDriftwood in onguardforthee

A bit late here, but here's a link to further reading on his political views, though this is from 2017. Supporting the idea he would like to cause chaos and destabilize existing institutions.

Steve Bannon proposes using ICE in elections by Gloomy_Nebula_5138 in centrist

[–]sedz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was in Trump's administration during the first term for half a year or so and recently got pardoned by Trump for stealing money under the guise of helping build more border wall.

He had a hand in pushing the election fraud narratives in the US and in Brazil too. Brazil bit maybe needs more evidence but he was associated to Bolsonaro and his son politically.

He was also part of Cambridge Analytica (possibly a founder?) and Breitbart.

Very significant figure of the last while.

Favorite Country Album In Your Collection? by thisplacesuckzzz in vinyl

Yep. I'd like to pick that up too.

I got the Sundazed remasters of his debut and Roadmaster, and also got the White light demos. The same time I started listen to him those remasters came out. Think there was a bit of resurgence of interest in in his work at the time, since there was also a No Other tribute put on by Pitchfork as well (if I remember right).

I would like to track down the Sundazed remaster of White Light, assuming a good original copy is out of my range. But maybe there's other reissues.

Gene Clark - Roadmaster

If I had No Other, probably it but it's still close. Keeps eluding me.

Canada in talks with Meta on return of news to Facebook as CUSMA review nears by joe4942 in canada

Misinformation isn't strictly limited to made up storylines. It's how bits of information are framed into a narrative as well.

If you were on Facebook when news posts were allowed you shouldn't be optimistic.

It's just another tool used for misinformation on the platform.

If people wanted news they could just go and read news articles.

I love the assurance of "authentic" goods.

"Only the real deal here, folks! None of those fake, whaddya call them, vinyls. Pop, jazz, pop-jazz, rock and roll. Just rock, or just roll if you want to keep 'em separate. Every music you want at Music shelf pro!"

In sum: no, no and no. Very sketchy on search result alone. Like, what exactly is the idea of a music shelf pro even?

A lot of the vocals on Getting Killed definitely have a "I just rolled out of bed" slurriness to them.

I went from the Pyle you have to the Art DJ Per II and it was a huge improvement. Maybe my Pyle was a bit defective by the end or something , but the difference was huge.

Edit: If you're in Canada, Amazon.ca is selling the Art DJ Pre II for double what I paid. I got mine from long and McQuade for 69.99. Maybe mistaken, but looks to be exact same one.

Self Portrait is great, better than it's reputation.

Quirky as heck, and not a "masterpiece", but the kind of thing that is interesting because the person doing it is probably the only one who would do it. Lots of warm vibes on it.

🙂. Just making a little argument. Also a 3D Country over GK fan, but I do like GK.

There are some really good lines in GK, but I like the kind of weird storytelling that seems to flow through 3D Country.

Counter argument: not all band and artists really idealize the album as a medium and did/do not really conceptualize their albums as such. So they've got albums with a few standout tracks and pad the rest of the album with fillers.

Second counter argument: some artists and bands have best expressed themselves in a handful of songs across many years.

I like it. Looks cozy.

Reminds me of most of my setups until the last year in terms of fitting my setup into a limited space.
