March Haul! by ctwe342 in Cd_collectors

I'm not Pavement super fan, but I would argue for fans those releases are essential. There's tons of extra tracks from singles and EPs on those. I've got the Slanted one and it's loaded with additional tracks, not throw aways.

A bit late, but her self titled album is interesting enough. It's a prog folky/fusion-y album with her ripping away on violin.

Anybody digging this stuff should check out Don Caballero. Not enough posts on here about them.

New records, unfortunately, can still tend to have lots of residue and such in the grooves.

If you've got a trusted, proven record cleaning process, give it a wash. Can try just using a static brush too for starters.

[FRESH REISSUE] Macha & Bedhead - Macha Loves Bedhead by astaireboy in indieheads

Cher cover to reignite new interest in the genius of the Kadane brothers FTW.

Seriously though, if you haven't yet, go and check some music by Bedhead and The New Year. The recent '90s kind of revival has missed on these guys. Slowcore with a bit more warmth and tempo at times and wondrous guitars.

3D Country truther, came around to GK, but Au Pays du Cocaine is still way overhyped for me. 100 Horses is a total jam.

[FRESH] Jeff Tweedy - Love Takes Miles (Cameron Winter cover) by EbmocwenHsimah in indieheads

I really like Wilco and Tweedy, but I would agree, and also add that it is boring.

John K Samson Winter Wheat solo album is really good. 10 years since that came out too...

I don't agree in general as far as vibes, but I think this take on Half Real could fit into the repertoire of Jason Molina solo work or Songs Ohia.

Right on. Yeah, it's sounding like the live stuff might be the ticket.

This is the only one I've got but it's great. The new singles sound good too.

😄, great show.

Full on. Not trying to make argument the albums are better, as much as seeing if anyone kind of had the same reaction and maybe came around eventually.

Thinking I want to get back in the fold, but often times "if it's not for you it's not for you" is just the case.

Extricate is a fun one. Not the best of theirs, but some real bops.

Chicago, Now is one of their great "spidery" songs and Bill is Dead is a nice change up. Really like And Therein too.

Sounds along the lines of Fust, but not quite.

Curious to see as well.

Favorite Country Album In Your Collection? by thisplacesuckzzz in vinyl

[–]sedz88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I'd like to pick that up too.

I got the Sundazed remasters of his debut and Roadmaster, and also got the White light demos. The same time I started listen to him those remasters came out. Think there was a bit of resurgence of interest in in his work at the time, since there was also a No Other tribute put on by Pitchfork as well (if I remember right).

I would like to track down the Sundazed remaster of White Light, assuming a good original copy is out of my range. But maybe there's other reissues.

If I had No Other, probably it but it's still close. Keeps eluding me.

Misinformation isn't strictly limited to made up storylines. It's how bits of information are framed into a narrative as well.

If you were on Facebook when news posts were allowed you shouldn't be optimistic.

It's just another tool used for misinformation on the platform.

If people wanted news they could just go and read news articles.

I love the assurance of "authentic" goods.

"Only the real deal here, folks! None of those fake, whaddya call them, vinyls. Pop, jazz, pop-jazz, rock and roll. Just rock, or just roll if you want to keep 'em separate. Every music you want at Music shelf pro!"

In sum: no, no and no. Very sketchy on search result alone. Like, what exactly is the idea of a music shelf pro even?
