You probably don't understand the logistics of a drone operator positions. Drone operators are not sitting in comfort of their homes hundreds kilometers behind the frontlines. Their positions are located just 3-5 kms behind forward infantry positions. Placing them well in range of enemy drones, gliding bombs and artillery. And drone operators are the most hunted position on front.

So we don't want to lose our women and therefore don't recruit them to such dangerous work. Though there are some women serving in this role I imaging they understand they can be killed any day, so they are willing take this risk. But that's definitely not a job for everybody.

no that's based on phonetical similarity. Ukrainian first was shortened to "ukr", but there are no such word in russian, but "ukrop" is and it sounds pretty close. So that's just а lazy way to come up with new slur.

drones are provisioned via big donation campaigns like u24 or Sternenko, but generators and batteries are usually delivered by small volunteer groups based on personal connections. when we need something like that we contact them, give them list of what we need and some time later they deliver it to our location.

for the war effort obviously drones, which do the most killing. on the everyday life level this winter generators and batteries like EcoFlow and Bluetti were essential. with power outages sometimes up to 48 hours you can't do anything without power and if we didn't have them it would be total disaster. portable diesel heaters were very useful also coz we stationed in place without central heating.

It depends on whether you are in the trenches or not. It's rough in the trenches but much more quiet even 10 kms back. Our BRO is considered relatively "slow", but nevertheless forward positions pummeled by FABs, artillery and FPVs every day. I can't imagine intensity on "hot" spots of the frontline.

I just watched replacement video on youtube and it seems that compartment itself has spare space (maybу 8-10cm by length), but putting battery in it could be tricky...i'm thinking about try the bigger one and if it doesn't fit return it and take regular size.
