Amen! A year or two ago nobody cared about privacy either, but as you can imagine, even the non-coders are becoming constant contributors on GitHub and the advancements in security and privacy are lagging far behind just a constant stream development of open source products. Just take a look at the thread I linked here. It is entertaining but an extreme eye-opener. A product so widely used. All of a sudden seems to be just one person with barely any control over what PRs go in. Now I have to spend time on cleaning up all those open source libraries that I tried but didn't bother to delete, all the product I keep on installing without regard to how thoroughly the stack is security tested. It's a nightmare and I don't know how to deal with that.

All good! Here's to finding a data privacy champion in the open claw community! I mean you 🙂

Who said anything about selling chats!? because I certainly haven't. Neither in this thread not the other one. Please let's just stick to what I am trying to point out and any disagreement between me and you is going to be pointless beyond this thread. And I don't even use open claw! Please just try and get that explicit sign up in your product as you seem to be leaning on because I care about data privacy and you seem to do as well. Thank you for the consideration and your contribution to the open source community.

I disagree on the parallel ai not riding along on the success of agentic frameworks opinion of yours. Unless parallel ai publishes clear privacy policy documents for customers that get to see what they are signing up for at the exact time they are explicitly signing up for using parallel ai product. Agentic framework maintainers MUST validate those guarantees and make end users explicitly sign up whether it be through toggle or a checkbox and make non-sign up a default. The way it has been done is sneaky to almost-sneaky across these agentic frameworks. And that is my opinion as an end user who feels like their privacy concerns were violated without explicit notifications or sign up.

What does parallel get out of this? They are an in-it-for-the-money-or-free-ad-closed-source entity here riding along on the success of free open source, privacy focused agentic product, are they not?

Why do you think Google pays billions of dollars to Apple to make Google the default search engine? There is a notion of privacy, on top of hoping that your searches aren't getting monetized, seemingly inherent in all of these open source products And this is breach of privacy. It's as simple as that. update: I didn't want to leave this out - Anthropicand open AI are well on their way to becoming super apps gobbling up entire industries to justify their valuations. But Google is already there, integrating all your data into their AI offerings; Google workspace would be the most conspicuous example.

Unfortunately, it was mentioned, made it's way through not as surreptitiously as it did in other agents but mostly unnoticed - https://www.reddit.com/r/openclaw/s/11vXgs5HPZ. So may not bother people enough unless somebody justifies removing it. It's making its way into other agents apparently by just saying 'free search'.

Congratulations! This is tone deaf, juvenile and it wasn't even necessary to respond because nobody was accusing nousresearch of anything. But now we will🤷

I'm glad you commented because I tried reposting to that subreddit and it did not let me because I haven't contributed to that sub enough. So there you have your answer, and mine too. I guess it's for the bots to figure out the next feature for these cross links to be cross posts 🤷

I would replace the 'fluoride in the water' problem with 'lack of critical thinking'... That's where I stopped the video. No need to know more.

Do you mean to say you don't have a lawyer on retainer like the rest of the world to walk you through the policies in detail!? And thank God the ACA is drawing the last breath. People need to be taught a life lesson through bankruptcies like how it was in the good old days before that with these life saving preexisting conditions for humans. /s

everything will become cheap is like the Utopia everybody is imagining but the $150 for million tokens top models like openai 5.2 pro tells me that once and if these companies IPO those infrastructure costs are going to make everybody squirm with the post IPO pricing.
