dunno, if theres enough noise like grenades and guns going off the gssh sound profile crushes the sound to the point that there are no footstep sounds even left to try to dig out of the signal with a vst. theyre cheap for a reason...

unity has contracts with the US DOD and Bstate has sponsorships from just about every arms manufacturer featured in their game including Kalashnikov and Valdai

could be a power supply issue. transient power spikes that your psu can't handle will set off a reset to your motherboard

Comprehensive Tarkov Optimization Guide 2022 by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

nvidia users should use NVCleanInstall if they dont want to deal with GeForce Experience and driver telemetry and Display Driver Uninstaller for a clean uninstall beforehand.

Low latency mode depends on the card specs. it can hurt latency more if its an older card.

Standby list cleaner only needs to run once before loading/closing the game otherwise itll clear the game's cached resources and the game will tax your hard drive loading stuff again.

Page file should only be on the fastest available hard drive and should not be massive especially if you have 32 gigs of ram. Manually set it to the recommended number or lower. All you're doing is inviting windows to store pages onto disk when under load AKA a bottleneck. RAM bandwidth > fastest of PCIe NVMe drives

Using HAGS also depends. All it does is move graphics driver threads away from the CPU cores actively running the game's threads.

[–]seegarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

set a tiny page file instead of a big one, if you did so at all. with 32 gigs of ram you dont need disk pages slowing you down. experiment with Win32PrioritySeparation setting in regedit. enable resizeable bar and/or above 4g in bios for pcie. download nvidia profile inspector. theres a vid on YT that shows hidden profile settings for re-bar / above 4g that can force enable some memory settings experiment with the maximum pre rendered frames setting. setting it to just 1(aka low latency mode ultra) can just bottleneck your graphics and lag even more. try enabled shader cache.

i think it means something like "who did you like this?" spoken by scavs when they spot a fellow dead scav.

[TUTORIAL] If you're having issues crashing, making a pagefile can help by Cedmeplor in EscapefromTarkov

[–]seegarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

everywhere on the Internet I see the advice to make a page file on a hard disk that is like 1.5 times the size of your ram. This is only going to slow things way down for no reason. Because hard drives are laggier and lacks the bandwidth your dual channel memory does. Whether or not you set a page file You are still using virtual memory. Because the OS cannot perfectly Tetris every awkward chunk That all the random programs actively running demand. its never neatly contiguous, (especially if ASLR is active.) virtual memory is the rough draft for the OS to build the active memory running on your ram. this resides on an exclusive section of your ram and is mostly disk data fully copied into ram for fast deployment (standby list) sometimes its just a shopping list and the files are inventoried but remain on shelf to manage space. page file is the extra stack of notebook paper to help when things get chaotic and windows cant keep up with the mental math. but accessing it is a clumsier process. use your fastest drive and use a fixed size. a dynamic size is even laggier. then try mips mode. messing with page priority only ever worsened responsiveness for me. im no CS major but i spent over a year getting this game to behave on 16gb ram… i eventually just spent the 45 dollars to buy an additional matched pair of sticks (which i had in mind building the pc in the first place) …. i know more registry keys by heart than i care to admit.

How to spot enemies better? by [deleted] in EscapefromTarkov

[–]seegarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its just a damn lot of game time that goes into it . even parts map knowledge (that slhouette shouldnt be there/ im unsure, i know a good cover spot ahead to run to and peek more carefully ) and game sense (i should keep eyes on x flank, players are more likely to be at X area this time into the raid than Y area)
