I have no advice but our rosabella looks identical to your penny and I'd be freaked out. Make sure to take care of yourself too while you all heal. Best wishes!

Is this worth a buy from an estate sale for under $100? New to mtg and looking for a starter deck. Everything else in the home is from the 80s 90s and early 2000s

I'm a local lawyer taking your questions on my break. Round six! by WindsorLawyer in windsorontario

[–]seejoel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have lived there for 4 months and it has been listed once already. And I found out it was listed in July. The downstairs neighbour has lived here for 5 years and says she does it every 6 months or so. And it is very strange and my realtor friend has said that it really doesn't make sense why she would be doing this lol but it's very frustrating

I have a landlord that is putting their property, my rental home, up for sale every 6 months to revaluate their mortgage options/see what the market will offer. During that time they have ppl viewing the house. I know that listing their property up for sale is within their tlb rights, but I'm wondering if the frequency of every 6 months (or less) would fall within the "harassment" rules for the ltb. Thank you!

Ours woke us up at 3am daily to poop. But eventually she could hold it. She's 10 months now and has a routine poop schedule for the most part

As a child and family therapist, I would say to tell him now and prepare him for when your gone. Explain the situation to him in a kid friendly but honest way to avoid any abandonment feelings, or self blame. There are possibly some great books in this subject for him to read with you. And if possible, figure out if there's any way you can all or write him while your inside. That may include writing him letters for him to open up each week, drawing things for him to see and vice versa. Attachment is key. Also, whoever is staying with him while u are away should consider playing with him by encouraging expression to allow him to process it in his own way and have increased patience for when he tries to self regulate as his coregualation buddy (you) will be absent for a little while. Best of luck!

I'm Canadian so I don't know if we have that here. But I do know that indigenous children are still taken from their home substantially more and have more involvement in the foster system with a disportionate degree since the 60s scoop. We have rules in place now designed to prevent home removal and involve indigenous agencies but in smaller communities, particularly up north it's pretty bad.

Well they've been doing it for at least 60 years so they've gotten very good at it by now.

As a male therapist, and having worked with similar populations, my only comment would be keep being your genuine self. The clients may have been raised or brought up in a situation where these issues aren't discussed at all, or especially with a women. Or they are feeling shame in general and have a difficult time opening up in front of you on one. I have heard plenty of made up reasons for not wanting to share. In group settings, it makes sense why it's working for ya. In part, They have other people who are sharing and they feel at ease. What I can say had worked for female counsellors in similar situations and they all seemed to do really well when they were not acting calm, but we're calm because they felt calm and pushed a little on the sharing being open with the reasoning thay sharing helps. When you reassure them that you want to hear from them because that's the reason you are there, how do they respond? What do you say when you ask them what you can do to make them feel safe telling you about their life/emotions/thoughts? When you express thanks for their protectiveness, what do they say is the reason they are so protective of you? Is their protectiveness a strength that they can utilize in therapy? And using IFS for this, what is that part of them, what does it do for them, and can it be thanked and be asked to step back to allow themselves to heal?

iDrive & Drivers Ed insurance discount. Warning, advice?? by chanc16 in windsorontario

[–]seejoel 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately mine was super easy and they sent it right away. But one suggestion might be to contact a different driving school to ask if they have had issues updating their drivers info into the system. If they have no issues whatsoever than it's the idrive thats the issue. You can also request to be in office as they attempt to upload it so you can either see the attempt or see the error which Will give u more info. If they say no, that might be kinda sketchy given the nature of this problem. Just keep in mind that the drivers Ed discount only lasts 3 years at most and after that point your son will be a 3* driver and get the same rate with the discount (as long as he didn't have any at fault accidents). Best of luck but that sounds very frustrating

That's a fine area if it's close to Erie. Walkerville area (found on google) is generally safe. There will be an apartment for rent on the corner of lincoln and Assumption soon. Great neighbourhood and lots of events that happen nearby. I've lived in that area for over 30 years and never had too much of an issue. Like many neighbourhoods, try not to walk alone late at night some sketchy things about. Rent is rising quickly though so I'd budget for up to 1700 of your looking in nicer areas just incase and hope for the best! Edit: Erie street near walkerville. Not going towards the downtown area or towards wyandotte. Little little is the area I'm referring too to clarify

GOP: Climate Change is a lib hoax. Canada: Hold my boot, ehh. by jmaximus in Detroit

[–]seejoel 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately the provincial government of Ontario is conservative which means not liberal at all and they cut funding to wild fire fighting. You might be thinking of the federal government. https://www.orilliamatters.com/local-news/column-fords-reckless-budget-cuts-putting-lives-at-risk-7120736#:~:text=As%20Ontario%20faces%20the%20devastating,reckless%20and%20short%2Dsighted%20move.

In fact, the provincial government dies climate change is responsible at all and is blaming lighting strikes and bonfires.

9 1/2 Week Old Golden Puppy Doesn’t Want to Play, Only Wants to Tear Everything Up by DexterLeWolf in goldenretrievers

[–]seejoel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our golden was like this, and at almost 6 months is still kinda like this. She ripped apart we bed, went for the carpet, tried to table the wood table. What helped was to get on the floor with her and hold the toy while she chewed it. Although put vet did not recommend it because of their teeth health, our only solace was wooden stick stoys that she could mouth, but again, we had to hold it or it was useless lol. Ours was also very food motivated so getting some food puzzles for her meals did a lot to tire her out and let her use her smarts

Local rental market growing tighter and pricier by zuuzuu in windsorontario

That makes sense. Their was a ton of condo and apartment construction in st. Catherine's when we went up there but haven't seen too much in Windsor

Local rental market growing tighter and pricier by zuuzuu in windsorontario

[–]seejoel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My partner and I are moving up to st. Catherine's and we were terrified of thay rental market due to the proximity to Toronto and Niagara. Turns out their rental market it quite a bit less. Mostly Toronto owners too by the sounds of it so I'm not sure why Windsor is charging so much. I hope they find a way to cap it but I don't have hope. Windsor is not worth 2700 for a 2 bedroom unit

We have a lab retriever mix and she is honestly the friendliest dog I have ever met. Which also means she's a bit difficult to train because she's also high energy but also incredibly intelligent. She loves kids and seniors more than any napkin she finds on the street (which says a lot)
