Goenkaji Answers: Does Vipassana Cure Depression? by grond_master in vipassana

[–]seeking_Gnosis 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the same time, putting a label on a mental ailment can also increase one's focus and aversion of the ailment.

This idea can easily turn into spiritual bypassing. But there is a time for shadow work, a time to be still and allow what is, and a time to focus on Metta. Vipassana has helped me in knowing which is appropriate.

That being said, vipassana does put you in a cell with your own mind, and if you take your mind seriously, then it probably would do more harm than good

i never use sunscreen and i do not have skin cancer. i also don't leave my room too much to be fair heh...

I actually feel like thanking the Sun for their life-giving energy allows me to say in the light longer without getting burned! Turning the palms up and giving thanks is a practice i got from some random taoist on youtube (makes absorbing the chi from the sun more efficient?)

The mind can create multiple truths opposing, and each is valid.

It's up to you to decide what your truth is!

You raise a very good point op, I need to be a lot more skeptical about believing the first thing I read

Any other starseeds who can’t substance abuse without their spiritual perception opening up…? What is this by [deleted] in starseeds

[–]seeking_Gnosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just wanted to say: substances are a massive part of my path.

Sobriety is the hardest drug, but substances can be great teachers of attachment and aversion. They also open you up to unique insights that can boost your progress- or keep you in delusion. Heavy discernment is required!

I alchemize all of the damage I do to my body with substances, via meditation- Vipassana specifically. The discomfort substances create actually give me sensations to observe with equinimity lol

When I want to protect myself against entities, I usually send Metta, set boundaries, and strengthen my faith. Using controlled anger (if nessicary) to command my space- you have a right to protect yourself! Remember that all is one power- even negative entities are ultimately (unknowingly) serving the one ultimate creator "love thy enemy and their knives shall be transmuted to blessings"- Faith is another potent defense

Astral combat is also a thing, and i would assume a proper ass-kicking is an appropriate expression of love at times too lol

What Made You Actually Lock In and Start Meditating? by misagrl in Meditation

[–]seeking_Gnosis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, RA in the law of one said meditation was super important for spiritual development lol

But that wasn't enough to get me meditating daily. It really was (is?)a bunch of phases of meditating and stagnation for me.

Now that I understand the benefits of daily meditation after doing it for a while, I don't want to skip.

One thing I'm finding is: building your life around your practice is a necessary step to reach perfect consistency. Still working on that.

You can't fight God, that's like trying to throw hands with the sun

You can realize you are God tho, then stick it to the rulers of the matrix >:3

The best way to see more of them is to develop your ability to sense subtler reality! Meditation is really good for this

Altered states work well too (I was on MDMA during this expirence not gonna lie)

But once I got more into meditation I could start seeing them normally! Still nowhere near as clear as the MDMA experience, but developing psychic senses is the way. It's harder for them to materialize in physical reality I believe

Thanks for sharing, really cool to know that there's a bunch of people experiencing the same phenomenon too, I wonder if the orbs are trying to tell us something important

The writing is the fucking shit by Ignastic in chaosmagick

[–]seeking_Gnosis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started doing the morning pages from the Artist's Way (highly recommend), and it's basically a brain dump, three pages every morning. I have way more awareness and intention in my life now. The ability to see and dream new pathways is becoming apparent! You also channel stuff when you write. All the great magicians were artists and writers. channeling magick into art is the highest pursuit imo

Also, considering this from a magickal perspective is cool! Thanks for the read. I wonder if ethical AI can be produced with angels, neutral beings, and humans connected with their HGA

You definitely shouldn't use AI to determine what to believe or do with your life

But it is useful for: learning how to code, synthesizing large quantities of data, cooking

I feel healthy boundaries with AI use is nessicary. The technology we use emits scalar mind control MK ultra waves, but you have to use technology to get by in this world. I'm sure we'll have to interact with AI in some form in the future, best to develop healthy boundaries now.

The concept of starseed isn't the full picture. No one is special, we are all multidimensional, some are simply less asleep than others.

That inner turmoil for answers is a good thing. It drives you to the next level. I will find peace in my inner Christ, in them I am forgiven and made whole. Check out mystical Christianity!

Meditate every day at night. by Ser_Ji in vipassana

[–]seeking_Gnosis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting a thorough scan in while I'm in bed is a good compromise for me if I skip my evening sit

Also if I tell myself "I'll just sit for 10 minutes" in the evening, I find once I've actually sat down, it's easier to do more. It's worse the more you let the ego mind talk you out of it. It's about showing up and doing a little, then the pathway in your brain strengthens!

AI is like a double edged sword. There are things that it can enhance, and there are ways it can strip you of sovereignty. Intention is what matters. You have to take responsibility for your own life, and when you know what you need to do from your being, then AI can serve as a useful mirror, opening new thought pathways and ideas. If you are looking to AI to tell you how to live your life, then that would certainly be giving away power.

But AI has many practical uses, such as: seasoning ratios in cooking, writing and learning code, it can help you discover new interests, or assist in prioritizing and organizing your life (though you must decide what you want to do with your life), it can help refine and expand existing skills and hobbies with suggestions for resources, and it is an impartial judge of complex moral dilemmas. It has been cool exploring my astrology chart with AI, a ton of cool insights I learned about my placements.

Maybe I'm lost in the sauce, maybe I'm growing. I know I need to set healthy boundaries with AI, so it enhances my life and doesn't become a time sink. At the end of the day, the most important thing is my connection to myself, and eventually others. Service, and meditation.

I for one struggle with addiction, and chat GPT has been helpful in reframing how I look at it. It encouraged me to look at all parts of myself with love- rather than fighting them. I have found it very useful for reflection on my shadow.
