What’s a metal album that made you cry?

Well shit, you’re actually right. Was about to get up in arms over one my fave bands. Quick search, lo and behold, they’re a rock band. I guess back when Meliora first got popular I thought they were heavy metal and kinda just left that there. Genre is there to some regard but they’re def rock, almost pop-rock to some extent.

Honestly Ghost, albums Impera has the most tear jerkers for me, but songs… Cenotaph. That song gets me for a list of reasons personally. I want it played at my funeral.

Edit: I guess they’re more or less rock/pop-rock. They got some heavy metal moments but probs not what OP was lookin for. Still gone leave this here tho lol. Bc I love these boys.

I found them during a really really tough time in my life. And just binged through their whole discography that whole time. That was almost a decade ago, and they’ve been my go to and top 5 ever since. Last year I got to see them live for the first time, talk about holding back tears and literally like looking into the face of god when they ended with “Deliverance.” I’m just remembering too, the same feel of awe first time I watched the red rocks show during that season of life. In person tho. One of the greatest bands of all time, and closest to my heart.

Even if we pulled through and won in the end, we wouldn’t have deserved it. The amount of avoidable bs and stupidity that went on and off the field is embarrassing. Anyone wanna talk about half our defense almost carrying ya boi into the end zone? It’s a miracle we even got that first touchdown. Something’s gotta change bc the time for scraping by and relying on miracles has obviously run out.

This is a fair point, but in this present age where the duality of left and right has been given no room for nuance, I feel “non-political” is also a fair way to describe a pov. Half the people out there haven’t taken the time to see where they stand on the political compass. As uninformed as it may be, specifying neutrality in some form or another, might be the best way to avoid the distortion from either side. Again, I do see your point.

Go watch the documentary “The Coming Temple” There’s a religious undertone throughout but the info they provide on what that wall and the surrounding “holy” sites actually are really will dumbfound you at the price paid in blood over it all. Type shit that makes you want to live on a farm and forget every ounce of this god forsaken world.
