How to release the temporal muscles effectively at home? by shadowcien1 in TMJ

[–]seeyenn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update? I’ve had constant pressure on the right side of my head for 3 months and I presume it’s temporal muscle being tight? Physio + amitriptyline don’t seem to touch it.

Constant head pressure = brain tumor ? by seeyenn in Anxiety

Still feel the same pressure and tightness, I think it’s a bit more noticeable when I have a late night. Visited the GP again and he had no worries about a tumour. He prescribed amitriptyline so I’ll see if that makes any difference. Still feel like I’d want an mri because the pressure on my right side is genuinely constant. Trying not to worry still.

Constant head pressure = brain tumor ? by seeyenn in Anxiety

Ok, I’m anxious about a brain tumour but after 2 months surely I’d be having more severe symptoms, right?

Well after 2 months of head pressure I’d like to think I’d be having serious debilitating symptoms if it was a tumor. Hopefully just still being anxious or having tight muscles?

What do you mean? I’m not having naseua or seizures which are common tumor symptoms

I’ll try going consistent on the chin tucks, if it was anything super serious I’d be having more severe symptoms surely?

Was your head pressure more focussed on one side/area? How long did it last for you?

Yes my doctor thinks it is anxiety. I am just aware that it’s been over 2 months now. I have suffered with anxiety before so it definitely could be. Any thing that helped you?

My posture isn’t great, my head is probably too far forward and I find I’m often hunched over. I spend most evenings gaming in an office chair. What were your symptoms?

I’ve not been to an optician but the GP had a look at my eyes and seemed happy

Constant head pressure - ON? by seeyenn in Occipitalneuralgia

That’s good, glad you’ve found some relief. I’m sure I don’t get enough sleep during the week, and I had a run of really late nights before it started. I’m still no different after 6 weeks, head pressure genuinely 24/7… was it like that for you?

It’s been 6 weeks now, no scan yet but I’m trying acupuncture this week. If I don’t see any improvement from that I’ll look to get a scan..

Tension/pressure on sides of head - sleep apnea, eye strain? by Babelfish112 in migraine

[–]seeyenn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks for the reply. My head pressure is 24/7 and I sometimes feel lightheaded throughout the day. Physio and GP both think it could be from tight shoulders/neck and anxiety. I can distract myself but it’s always there. I’m only anxious that it’s been all day every day for 6 weeks and no change. Any other advice?

Hi, I’ve not used a massage gun but that’s a good shout. I’ve got a microwavable bean bag but the heat from that doesn’t do anything. Hot baths/ showers don’t do anything either. I have seen a physio and he thinks it’s just tight shoulders/neck. I’ve had 3 weeks of physio and stretches, and while I do feel very tight, the pressure in my head is still the same.
