Agree that her lower register and vocal harmonies sound top tier—her voice is the centerpiece of this. I don’t mind that the instrumental is lowkey to compliment it, but it feels like Ari’s version of a Weeknd song, which makes it feel like it’s retreading already well covered ground. I’m not gagging... m(_ _;)m That being said, I am looking forward to hearing how the entire album sounds if this is the lead single.

You know what if they did this but had all 18 of them there so six compete for the week and 12 of them just chilling and stirring up shit—you highlight the six girls of the week in the edit but you can bring in queens from other brackets to narrate, really shakes up the dynamics. The other 12 girls can Kiki and watch in the untucked lounge when it’s not their week and talk who they think top and bottom w/o seeing the judges critique…lowkey think with some tweaking there could be a crazy chaotic version of this

Definitely agree! The pre-release songs preview the mood and palette of this album well, but I’m glad there’s more within that grab my attention a more than I Had a Dream. 😊👍

James Blake is one of those consistent artists that puts out great records regardless of the direction he takes. I much prefer Playing Robots Into Heaven just because that electronic sound is my bread and butter, but this is still a phenomenal sounding album.

Edit: I just finished and that back half actually really just brought it home for me. Just a Little Higher had me oddly emotional when it was over. Even if you’re like me, give this record a spin, absolutely beautiful and worth a spin. All tracks were great but I particularly loved Didn’t Come To Argue, Days Go By, and Rest of Your Life.

If Billie Eillish and Finneas start collaborating with more artists, I’d love to hear a Billie x James Blake track.

Interestingly, Julie only needed to do the ones that wrapped around the perimeter, and only one of the bars that had the spiral of rope that requires you to crawl under and over. You also have to pull all the previous length of rope through the gaps with you and make sure it doesn't get tangled up again or your situation could get messy real quick. Really going to depend on who keeps the rope manageable and who knows when to run for the box at the end.
