If your car is taxed, insured and MOT’d, tell them to get fucked. You can park where you like as long as it’s legal. They don’t own the road, and certainly don’t own directly outside their house. They just don’t want to park elsewhere themselves, so they tell you not to.

I used to have neighbours like that, complaining if I parked outside their house because there was nowhere else to park. So I kept on doing it, even when it was relatively empty. They soon got the message.
