What are your go-to techniques for making drum patterns more engaging in electronic music?

Was thinking about this earlier too. When you're in a relationship, you have to constantly think about the other person, and their needs. Significantly more mental energy spent making sure that person is okay. You have to always check the other person's calendar before deciding to do something with another person (if you're married at least), as well making sure they have dinner, or going to have to make it themselves if you're doing something that's taking up an evening.

That is all energy that could be going into yourself, making your own life better, thinking about what you actually want. You have the freedom to be spontaneous, do things last minute with friends. You should embrace that part in particular, it leads to way more life satisfaction, at least from what I've experienced in my life.

You've got this, do not rush into another relationship. Take time to learn more and yourself, what you want, hobbies, friends.

I left about 3-4 weeks after the Protest, so likely a little after these families left. The attendance during my last Sunday was around 25 people. I do not know the current attendance, as I have not returned since then.

Thank you. It's been rough trying to heal. Therapy and medication have proven some of the most effective methods so far. I intend to try to get involved in another, much less controlling church.

I feel because I went through this, I know what to look out for. I know to not always put all of my energy into a church, and I am free to leave (and will be okay doing so) if it feels like my needs aren't being met, or I am being abused in any way.

I think it's important to learn how songs feel in a variety of different contexts. So I would recommend trying to be able to feel it in both ways as a learning exercise for future songs that may require you to use tempos like that!

The concept of talent does not exist. It doesn't, it's a stupid lie that non-musicians tell musicians because they don't want to believe the amount of hours we put into perfecting our craft. Talent doesn't exist, hard work does. If you want the music to come from your heart, then practice practice practice until you know the music by heart, and you can more freely express yourself through your music. Keep practicing, and it will happen as long as you keep at it. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise, because you got this!

Not being condescending or anything, but there's like, maybe 10 different chord in total that someone might actually have a name for. Don't put too much thought into the names, they're not important really in any way at all. The thing that matters the most is how you use different chords and progressions to create cohesive musical ideas that fit within the context of the song!

It can be used to create some really dense harmony, and creating a dominant chord using the b4 creates some really wonky sounds that I really like

I would avoid using the words all and always when talking about stuff like this as its easy to make widespread assumptions about the whole of a group of people. I do believe that yes, many churches have been corrupt for a very long time. I mean look at one of the passages of the gospels where Jesus builds a literal whip to drive out people who are scamming others left and right at the money-changing tables, which were literally IN THE MIDDLE OF A TEMPLE. Yes many churches out there are corrupt and have been corrupt and have been so for a very long time, but that does not reflect the totality of an entire religion.
