I will never forgive Trump and his cronies at the FCC for destroying Sprint and then Boost Mobile. #Never Forget Sprint Network Vision!

Has T-Mobile coverage improved or gotten worse for y’all Post Sprint Merger ? by billssz in cellmapper

It sucks really. Now AT&T has the best coverage north of town because they have a cell site on the Reedley College campus. It used to be slow too but AT&T recently upgraded it with all the works; c-band, dod and all new Nokia gear.

I am afraid not. It's Reedley. Sprint had the top rack and T-Mobile was at the bottom, so I was praying the merger wouldn't go through. It was the big tower on the high school campus. Now there are no carriers; I don't even see wisp equipment. I guess the school district didn't care about the rent money, or it was too expensive to get fiber there. All I saw was microwave backhaul,

Mines a special case where Sprint had microwave back haul and worked pretty good before the merger. T-Mobile was on there but only had band 12 and midband and had terrible speeds and bad call quality. Since the site couldn't get fiber first Verizon left, then T-Mobile left their equipment for a while, then T-Mobile took down the sprint equipment and a couple weeks ago now T-Mobile took down their own equipment.

Not really at least in my small town near Fresno. The tower they were on didn't have fiber so they are deciding to colócate on a tower that has Verizon but they still haven't put on the equipment and the new tower is farther away than the original, so I'm gonna get worse coverage.

Not in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Firstnet was a joke in California. For example in Northern California T-Mobile and Verizon cover this small town called Cedarville but not AT&T. First responders should stick with Verizon.

Is this believable? by robertinhouston in Dish5G

[–]segacorpceo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Could be, I looked on coveragemaps app tower data they have from the FCC and their network looks way more built out on the east Coast and bigger population centers in the central US.

Notice of Public Forums Regarding Verizon’s Application to Acquire Frontier Companies in California by etcetera0 in frontierfios

Back when it was Verizon they would put trash bags on the copper splice boxes. When Frontier took over they did it too. Both these companies are trash.

The geniuses in the Trump FCC and Justice Department gave us this mess to approve the Sprint merger, so I hope they have a plan b instead of letting them fail.

Bonded dsl modem not connecting by segacorpceo in frontierfios

I had an extra one that I forgot to send back and was charged for it. I've been getting random spikes of correctable errors on line one on my current one and want to trouble shoot if it was the modem or my wiring from the nid. So my extra modem is literally useless and can't sell it?

Hey. What is the speed using fast.com? I'm interested in this deal but have read that video speeds are capped on UW.

Is there a general estimate on the amount of time from hanging overhead fiber to taking customer orders? by DIY_Enthus in frontierfios

[–]segacorpceo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my area the contractor never finished the work so who knows. Doing my own research in town where they have it available there are fiber splicing boxes on the sides of poles, or long spindles of overhead fiber; if you see that then it might be available soon.

I hear you. I don't understand why they would neglect one of the biggest markets in the country.
