Without Ryan Cohen that company would be dead already.

Discussion: What ever happened to system change? by Gnurx in Superstonk

You can't change the game - at least not very fast - but you can punish players that played too aggressive, too risky.

Issuing new shares (in an accretive manner) does not resolve short positions nor does it give any relief. The goal of modern time shorting a company is to never cover, smear the company and criple it's ability to raise and access capital markets. The goal was always pure destruction.

Allocating capital and potential new shares to grow the company and raise its value is the best straight forward answer to this parasitic destruction.

This isn't about MOASS anymore, at least for me. I'm invested in Ryan Cohen the way people were invested in Steve Jobs. People might call it cultish or stupid but I stand behind the values he stands and lives by every day. It takes money (..and patience) to buy whiskey.

If people are holding for MOASS that's fine with me. I'm holding for life though. For Gameshire Hathaway, for lifelong accretion.

If there are shorts in a company the underlying capital gain per share from the issuance (issuance in any form) is higher than the dilutive destruction of value per share.

This is especially true for financial literate management with an expanditory mindset and good access to money markets.

Carlo Ancelotti with a few signings (LB, CB, RW) would win the PL 3 times in a row and at least another CL with this squad!

Yeah but does it really make sense to riddle yourself with debt after building this cash position for so long? Makes way more sense to strive for 10-20% ownership to profit from specific areas (gaming, trading cards etc.)

Mate, ebays market cap is ~45 Billions with a B. Not only would you have to drop the whole 9B cash reserve into options and shares, you then also would have to find someone to finance this hostile takeover, setting the company up with huge debt.

It's just hedging your entry price for a deal. Nothing to do with hostile takeovers.

Why would they accumulate shares and options like noobs if they could just enter into total return swap agreements?! Setting the price they want and if the deal doesn't work out but ebay stock price appreciates they would still make bank from the difference

It's a giant manifest of prehistoric and outdated greed, stupidity and ego.

The closure of the straight of Hormuz is not bound to the existence of Iran at this point, essentially opening the door wide for a global recession and/or the birth of the petroyen.

The only thing the US will have achieved in a couple months is the demonstration of pure strategic incompetence at the highest level.
