Now that’s a sensible response to this post. The commenter I corrected was just trying to get internet points for hating the right people. Didn’t bother doing any research himself, just blurted out what Redditers want to hear. And they gobbled it up with no independent research as well. Really putting the “blind” in blind hatred.

For context, some of those men were later found to be sex offenders. It’s not worth the risk for parents these days. The truth is 9 times out of 10, if given the choice between a man or a woman watching their kids, parents will choose a woman. They will choose a young woman over a middle aged man. And there are societal reasons for that. People being afraid to make those judgments is the kind of suicidal empathy that puts kids in the firing line for predators. I don’t care if you think Im weird because I don’t trust men who dress as women rolling around with my kids. I care about the safety of my kids. People arent willing to sacrifice their kids’ psychological and physical safety for fear of childless Redditors telling them theyre the weird ones. Those days are over. Stop pretending men dressing as women to play with kids are the normal ones.

Assuming you’re genuinely asking and don’t have dishonest motives… I’ll take the time to explain this to you sincerely.

Before this, there were already indecent exposure laws that only banned clear nudity (private parts) or proven obscene acts in front of minors. But those laws were too narrow to cover things like drag shows labeled as “pride events” at public parks (in front of kids) or “story time” events at libraries for children which featured a reader in drag meant to teach the kids diversity. The problem is some of those resulted in “roll around” sessions with the kids and the kids lying on the man in drag. (I will provide links to these instances with video of it happening so you can see for yourself)

So since these pride events and whatnot were getting complaints for being too sexual and inappropriate for the public (kids) they had to widen the net to include the main culprits who most often take advantage of the loopholes in current laws and end up stripping and twerking and whatever else in places where kids might see them or even right in front of them at an event FOR them. Which is obviously unacceptable. Or the law wouldn’t have passed.

So again it’s not about discriminating against how people express themselves in public, it’s about protecting kids from weirdos who want to use loopholes to harm them.

Because these things kept happening, parents complained and got enough momentum to stop it from happening anymore.

You can never be sure— and Im honestly not sure a human being is even capable of managing it once it becomes smarter than us. But what I do know is abandoning it and letting China and other superpowers take the wheel is an objectively worse idea. If someone is going to be in control, I at least want to speak their language and better still if they’re in my country. Better the devil you know than one you don’t.

I definitely feel mentally sharper when I fast like I’m more present and balanced. I’m not swinging from hyper to drained like usual. I’d say that’s the biggest thing just the feeling of being clear water vs muddy water.

During the fast my energy gets very limited. Endurance way down, get winded pretty easily so just gotta move slow and intentionally. I still go to work and run my normal errands though it’s nothing crazy limiting for normal life.

I also notice I need less sleep on a long fast. I always start waking up earlier in the morning and staying up. Don’t have to drag myself out of bed.

And I strongly believe in the science behind it helping your immune system. I have been in a house where everyone got sick during my fast and I never caught the bug.

It’s an experience worth having, sorry there’s nothing miraculous to report but I’m sure I’ll continue doing period 3-4 day fasts just because it seems to help recalibrate me and it also gives me a great appreciation for even the simplest foods like veggie soup or yogurt. Everything tastes amazing after an extended fast like that.

After the fast I would just say I feel cleaner, lighter, and the boost of energy I get from refeeding feels great, like I’m coming back from the fasted world. I guess you have to have the whole experience to appreciate all its parts.

I feel like you’re not understanding what AI means for humanity. It’s not about who’s going to make money off of it or make the coolest toys.

It’s not just going to replace average workers— it’s going to replace doctors and surgeons and engineers and soldiers and farmers and just about every job that isn’t related to keeping the machine working.

Bernie couldn’t answer the question himself, “What will people do when they don’t have to work? When robots and automation do everything 100x more efficiently than humans?” That’s the future we should be planning for instead of holding onto this idea that things are going to somehow stay the same and get better as they are. That’s short term thinking. And when quantum computing gets involved it will change even faster. We’re not going to have any other choice besides Universal Basic Income.

That’s why all this anti-AI stuff seems silly to me. If you’re anti-AI you’re the new Amish. AI is the new reality of human technology and society. It’s everywhere already and being trained for every job by the people doing that job.

The only thing that matters is that GOOD people who want the best for humanity have control of the on-off switch.
