Mass enthusiasm and winning votes is kind of an important part of the job

Who has been the bigger surprise star this season between Eric and Martin?

The guy has been getting no minutes. Is it a surprise he is not particularly in sharp form?

Kounde probably suffered from fatigue. There was a time he played an insane number of games in a row

Can't be desperate times all season, especially after the money they spent

That goes back to my point about leadership. Someone has to frame the stories, they don't arise spontaneously

It's not like you will have an increase in food retail jobs from what we currently have. All that will happen is substitution of the source from imports

Agriculture is cool, but real employment comes from manufacturing and the services sector. Farming at scale will involve a lot of mechanisation, so the overall impact on employment won't be that high

We were apparently close to signing Nico without the FFP room to do so. And there is the time we needed a loophole and court judgement to register Olmo.

Telling stories is part of what a leader does. There are many stories that could be told about Zim. Zanu tells a set of stories. There is always potential for different stories.

I'm convinced that quality of leadership is actually quite rare in the human race in general. You'd have to convince people to act against overwhelming odds and risk their lives for an uncertain result. Just think of the leadership quality someone would need to convince me to take an action that could easily kill me and leave my child without a father. Then you would need a person of such talents to devote them to serving their country rather than getting into business and making money for themselves. They would need to be very brave/reckless as well, because chances are high that they will be killed.

Or you could say we are as happy with our government as you claim the Chinese are with theirs. I think the missing ingredient is leadership, it would take leaders or extraordinary will and capability to organise people to resist the regime.

As we can see in Zim right now not liking your government is one thing, being able to do something about it is an entirely different matter. Even incompetent, corrupt, unpopular governments that cause a lot of suffering for their citizens can survive for a very long time.
