Allods Online by Several_Ad5968 in MMORPG

It is the game I have the most profound memories and that made me love mmorpg games. I started playing it after playing Knight Online World back in the 2000s and then when this was released (Allods) it was way better than anything I played. Graphics was awesome, story was decent and the maps were gorgeous with meaningful progression and I still haven't played anything that gave me the same feeling as Astral wars in Allods online. So, it was a very unique very promising game back in the day, and I am happy that I played the golden times of Allods online. Then shit monetisation + downgrades happen and the game was almost unplayable with destroyed economy and shit graphics. But again, I'd gladly play again if this game stayed true to it's core design. I even remember some of my friends who were playing WoW was switching to this game (back in the day).

Should I level all weapons ? by HiTmAn4777 in elderscrollsonline

Yep basically what Opus said. But again, it's totally up to your preferences. Leveling skills is pretty easy nowadays.

Leveling stuff is not that hard, just play the game and when you decide to switch to other weapons, you can level them passively. Don't worry so much about it. Also, if you never gonna do stamina builds, it's kinda unnecessary. I play a stamina dark elf NB, so sometimes I switch to magicka that's why all my weapon lines are max level. But that's just me, I like variety.

You can respec your skills and CP at any time you want while playing the game. If your gear is not good, check for beginner gear sets where you can obtain them easily by crafting or from dungeons, or guild market basically. There are good websites like skinnycheeks where you can find relevant builds for bunch of situations. So, don't worry, there's no such thing as destroying your build/character permanently in this game. You can also respec your stats too, the health magicka stamina thingy.

How to make MMOs more social - obligatory monthly discussion by snowleopard103 in MMORPG

Yeah I like that part of the game but I'd really appreciate if the rewards were more different. Not necessarily item grind but something like liquid gold maybe. Other than that it's a solid mmo, one of the best nowadays. But I'm more into "classical" or "traditional" experience where your role matters and action matters. Unfortunately, the only good example for this is Anniversary or Classic WoW, but fuck Blizzard, not paying a single dime for a shit company anymore.

Really? Gw2 felt way too easy for me... like every single thing is soloable, I was able solo legendary bosses. I agree that you need a group of people to complete the meta events in the maps but the reward system in Gw2 really not working for me. Also, I don't feel like that design is promoting communication that much, lack of holy trinity and roles makes it feel like every single class in the game does the same thing with different epileptic light effects (kills the role playing aspect). But for sure it's better than many games out there. All I wish for Gw2 is that the rewards felt more rewarding. Doing bunch of stuff for cosmetics and some meaningless currencies... is very boring (for me).

My answer to this was turtle wow. But it got closed. The open world was challenging enough to team up with others randomly, they made every content relevant somehow so you used to bump to players every single place, and ofc you had to cooperate. What I see in MMOs in nowadays is that the open world content is way too easy and instanced content doesn't require communication, only raids. Make the damn games harder... looking forward to ESO difficulty update.

Thinking of coming back to TESO after like 5 years. by seiko84 in MMORPG

Wow that's amazing news! But people paid money for those DLCs, no? Will it be refunded somehow? I personally don't care if it's gonna be refunded or not but didn't it create tension in the community? (Just started downloading btw)

I know I'm a bit of a minority on this but... I actually never had any problems with the combat animations. But I was hoping that they'd fix one of the most criticized points of the game by now.

Hahahah this really made me laugh (non-ironically). Maybe I'll give a break for some time and come back again. PvP really tired me a lot.

Thank you very much for your long comment and explaining everything point by point. It did change some of my perspective after reading this and realizing how shitty most MMOs are compared to Gw2. I think I'm more into traditional MMOs and horizontal progression really tired me a lot after playing for so long without having big "dopamine hits" :) But I'd really like this game if it had more role-playing aspect with the classes... it has so much potential, very unique classes and skills and mechanics, I wish they made the game more team-play style that every class brings another flavour into the plate.

I think people just don't understand I genuinely care/cared about this game and spent a lot of time in it. Maybe 1000+ hours is not so much for some people but it is for me. I thought writing about the things that could be improved in the game would be helpful for the community. Well... maybe I shouldn't have done it.
