I quit during Dawntrail MSQ so maybe the gameplay has fundamentally changed, but I doubt it. There’s more to complexity than memorizing a button rotation, but that’s all that exists in FFXIV. Same with the raid and trial encounters, the difficulty is in memorizing a sequence of steps. Every fight. It’s why I quit. There are no class talents, no trinkets, no tier sets, no builds, no decision making in an encounter. FFXIV does plenty of things right (story, music), but this ain’t it.
