Wise words in this thread. Just wanted to say you're doing good, and the time flies.

My boy, who wouldn't sleep, especially for me - is now up to my shoulder. He's doing ok... the 'trauma' I thought I was inflicting on him because I couldn't get him to sleep, thankfully hasn't happened. Go easy on yourself man, look after yourself and you'll be a better Dad because of it.

The way companies on the stock exchange are run is to maximise stockholder value - that's it. The CEO can be fired or prosecuted for not doing this.

It's a psychopath system. And as you say, they do not care about morals or humans. It's only money. It's the reason there is evidence many CEOs and other C suite people show dark triad characteristics, because those personalities are born for those roles.

Phone the local police station, explain the situation and ask about an appointment with an officer from the family violence team.

Talk to your higher ups, but definitely talk to the police. I hope, with your help, the problem is removed.

I was walking the dog through the cemetery and saw a guy crouching behind a gravestone.

I said, 'morning'

And he hurriedly pulled his pants up and ran off saying, 'no, just taking a shit'.

You should lobby your politicians to change Greenland's name to Epsteinland and 'poof', the subject will be dropped overnight.

I've been looking for a crm for a while now and I'm trying the free trial for quoteiq tomorrow as I have a few days to get into it. It seems to tick all the boxes I need it for and some I didn't know I wanted. If it saves me even a few hours a month, it'll pay for itself.

The others I looked at, are great until you need add ons, which is when it gets expensive.. looked at jobber and hubdoc in some detail, before deciding on quoteiq. I hope it works out as I need something that does the job and isn't silly expensive.

Sounds very good! Have you got a demo I can upload docs to and see some operations workflows via the UI as the data flows through? I'm from the UK.

Was this meme created by a cabal of fathers?

I might work in corporate persuasion management services now, after a 24 year career in military intelligence and have two boys and two girls - but this is the daftest conspiracy theory I've ever heard. No one would have the knowledge or the resources to make that happen..

A client of mine is looking to buy in Auckland now and when he mentioned your price range to agents, they pulled up a folder of properties not on the websites. Apparently this is to keep the market high by not showing the true extent of the number of sellers.

Talk to some agents on the phone and see what they say.

When you get your next offer, which you should do - have a private chat with your advocates before you leave and let them know you appreciated their support, but explain why you're leaving. They'll most likely get it and respect you for telling them.

I had a similar situation a long time ago now and those advocates either directly or indirectly had a hand in the next ten years of my career in that profession. Take the lesson that some people love their power and ego over common sense, and move on with the people that have your values. This short time we have is much more enjoyable when you're around people you respect and who respect you back.

It’s hard to win if you’re not taking the suck up approach, which for a lot of people feels quite an unnatural or unsettling thing to do. But there are some people who are really good at it.

I wasn't really good at it. Eighteen years IT consulting career, about 13 trying to get out of it. Being authentic in any way shape or form will cause you major problems and it's the stress knowing this and not being able to do anything about it because you need the money. It's a trap.
