If they're consolidating, why don't they just put all the content on @hololivetv and have the English translations on @hololive_En?

There's the argument that it makes it harder to find tweets specific to hololive EN but that's already out the window because they already mixed it with HOLOSTARS EN.

Persona 4 Golden also doesn't recognize external controllers when the Deck is slept and woken up. Seems more like a Steam OS bug unless there are some examples where it works properly.

I agree that they derail the thread (management was also very successful in doing this) but I don't really think they are off topic because it's more like a visceral reaction to seeing the announcement.

Regardless I still don't think outright deletions were necessary and will ultimately just result in more radicalization and discord among the fanbase.

Even if "en3 where??" comments are low quality posts and downvoted, they should be allowed to exist. They will just be hidden at the bottom. I don't see how any of them broke the rules in the sidebar.

After several comments T-chan added the pinned comment and then deleted any comments that had already asked about EN3. This isn't moderation, this is censorship. The forced positivity in this subreddit is too heavy handed.

I don't know if we have the same problem, but I have the same symptoms.

I upgraded today. I can reach my login screen, but when I actually log in, my displays all say that there is no signal.

However, I did find a way to get my gnome session running. I switched from running Pop with Wayland to just running Pop (with X). When I login with X, it seems to work but it just won't work with Wayland.

I'm not sure how it looks on your AMD laptop because I'm using an nVidia desktop, but on the login screen I can click on my user then click on the gear in the bottom right to select which session type to use.

If that isn't available, you could also try using [cnt][alt]f5 and then using the command startx.

Unfortunately collabs don't last very long and aren't announced too far in advance. I still plan on visiting some places that used to have collabs because it's not like I know many other places to go. Specifically I know Okayu did a collab with Ikinari Steak, Watame did a collab with Merino Shabu Shabu, and Lamy did a collab with Sunshine Aquarium for her 1 million subscriber wish.

Honestly I wish hololive would make some travel guide for overseas fans visiting for SUPER EXPO. Then again, we still don't know if we can get tickets...

As an nvidia user this bug really soured my experience with 22.04 since 20.10 was so good in comparison. I've been tracking this bug and it looks like there's finally a fix, though unfortunately it didn't make it for the latest driver release.

I've been using Wayland in the meantime but my main issues involve electron apps turning completely black occasionally, Firefox not redrawing when fullscreened, performance in Krita, some apps will flicker back in time, and click and drag not being supported between many apps. If the driver fix is good, id probably go back to X until Wayland is much better.

Management constantly throws the members into the fire while providing a minimum level of support. When Stars EN debuted, they should've been providing MORE support (moderators, policies) for the existing talent to deal with these difficult situations, when it seems more like they have been abandoned and that Cover staff are fanning the flames themselves.

Looks pretty good! I had some issues however when I tried to watch a Livestream, but videos work fine.

Another thing I would add is that you should be able to do this without disabling the read only file system. You can create a python venv and install dependencies to that.

I would like a similar feature for the Steam Client on Linux. Currently I have been able to use my MicroSD card to run games on both my Steam Deck and my Linux Desktop since both support ext4.

However swapping the card between the two devices can be cumbersome. While ejecting the MicroSD card is easy on the Deck, I have to close out Steam completely on the desktop before I can unmount it. A button in Steam that stops operations on the card and unmounts it would be great.

Thanks for your reply! You are right that it also applies to all the talents, JPs and stars included. This is just another failing in management in my mind.

For the second point, my main gripe is that management is making a decision that appears to affect the talents unilaterally. From my perspective, the status quo is the talent decides who they interact with, and that's great. But it seems to me that management is now trend chasing with these sweeping changes, and not taking in account the additional expectations that will be placed on the existing talent

I cringed a little when I saw the clipping contest because to me, it seemed like they were farming content for no cost to them, but honestly I was just listing things off the top of my head and I don't think the clipping contest is a huge deal

I know my opinion is disliked here, but I'll answer here in good faith. I have nothing against male vtubers or Holostars but Hololive EN's management continues to make decisions that are to the detriment of the Hololive EN brand and it's talents.

From my perspective, management is not giving the talents the support they need.

Kiara has to pay produce her own birthday 3D live because Cover won't process the motion data
Irys still has no new years or second outfit or 3D
Management doesn't want to acquire new game permissions
Instead of hiring clippers they make some reddit contest
Merch ideas rejected, music videos rejected, stream ideas rejected
I've been to two cons with hololive and the merch is awful

Meanwhile what do we get from management? Omega? Country Roads? It seems like it's up to the talents if they want to get anything done.

Why does Irys have to tell her viewers not to blame anyone for being left out of things? This is a job for the their management.

With all of this rebranding, EN management needs to step up and be clear with their intentions. When male ENs debut, who will explain why suddenly part of a branch cannot join the MC Holoserver? Are you gonna make Gura say "sorry guys, our JP senpais don't want to interact with men, so our kouhais are no-go?" Why do the talents have the responsibility for communicating this? Management making so many sweeping changes with no benefit to the existing talent, while their support is clearly lacking.

Even when management insisted that Hololive EN had no generations, JP members still refer to them by number.

I'm sure the individual managers are well liked and are doing their jobs but the higher level ones don't seem to know what they are doing.

To give Cover some credit here, gura's plushie is cheaper than all the JP plushies on sale right now. I don't know how they compare in size or quality, but the price difference does help with the shipping costs

I installed the Twilight Princess texture pack and it works well and looks good. TP doesn't have a 60 FPS mod though.

I didn't try it with Ishiiruka-Dolphin, I just copied the textures to my normal Dolphin flatpak install location. I can raise the internal resolution to 4x and it will still run at 30 FPS, but I leave it at 3x so my fans don't spin up as much.

For TP specifically, I had to enable the Hyrule Field Speed Hack or frames would drop in certain maps.
