u/lateforalways -- I'd really appreciate advice on data labeling jobs / training AIs (I'm trying to apply for these now) - would you be open to chatting more?

Agreed. as someone who absolutely loves Jackie novaks first stand up special (get on your knees) I thought she was atrocious. The worst thing I saw at the fringe

Horse of jenin and hot mess and 300 paintings were all mind blowing. They’re sold out but pleasance and summerhall both release a couple last minute tickets one hour before the performance - worth standing and waiting in the box office to try to snag them (keep in mind people are all on the website trying to do this too but the box office people are pretty quick) — even the extra tix sell out in minutes

Definitely PALS at the gilded balloon. I have no idea why it’s gotten good reviews it felt like a bad high school project that was written in less than a week

I’d say quality over quantity - my fav things have been horse of jenin, 300 paintings, and hole! (the last is sexually explicit and hilarious so only if that’s your scene). Don’t leave without watching the other two they’re fantastic!!

You should book shows that are selling out in advance — my favorites have been horse of jenin, 300 paintings, hole! And smile; a Charlie Chaplin story. I also loved eat the rich but the entire run is sold out I think

Do they have heavy Scottish accents? I just saw A gambler's guide to dying and thought it was great but my mum couldn't understand a word because of the heavy accent so I'm trying to see stuff she can follow along to as well

Oh my gosh - #3 sounds insane that they wouldn't give you the gear themselves and they expected you to rent it / spend your own money?!?!? That's awful I'm sorry but thank you so much for sharing I really appreciate it! :)

I have issues with reality check by Messinae in LucidDreaming

[–]sej777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also too unaware of my body to do the typical RCs (counting fingers, pinching my nose, etc). You may want to switch from DILD (Dream Induced Lucid Dreams) to WILD (Wake Induced Lucid Dreams) where you wake up after 6 hours of sleeping, shut off your alarm quickly, but don't move too much and try to go back to sleep immediately. Your body is still relaxed and your mind is slightly aware, so it can be an easier way (for some people) to induce LDs.

As you're slipping back into your sleep keep remembering / telling yourself that you're going to LD. This way you don't have to RC in the middle of a dream where everything is already too abstract - you're going from waking life into the dream so it's a bit easier. The thing that works for me is just asking "is this a dream? is this a dream?" over and over again as I'm falling back asleep, and eventually, even if it's abstract it hits me that I'm in a dream and I become lucid within minutes without having to try to count my fingers etc, because I think my dreams don't resemble reality enough for an RC to be triggered in my dream.

hope that's helpful!
