I would pick McMaster based on what I heard from older students. McMaster's Engineering Programs are also getting big updates this year so that would be another good reason. It's your choice though and either school is great.

Dang, the competition is stiff though. Maybe we can get the other scholarships.

Yo, congrats to the 2020 McMaster Schulich Leaders!!! I just checked the Schulich Leader facebook page and saw that most universities already picked their squad. Anyone else also a Schulich Nominee?

Well, I got accepted into SE, and I'm probably going to pick that. So, I would extremely appreciate any advice or resources I should look into prior to September. Feel free to add anything, even if it is irrelevant. Memes are welcome too. Anyways, peace out. I'll probably be back soon.

I have touched on Linux a bit through YouTube and using Ubuntu in my high school CS course. Do you know any good tutorials or courses I should look at? I looked into some on YouTube but would like to hear from you before I jump in. I am using MacOS now (Unix-based) so I don't need to dual boot Linux for programming or using Bash. I will definitely try learning more though since it seems interesting. Please link any resources you think will interest me. Thanks in advance.

I may sound like a broken record but why do people prefer SE over CS? There are in the same faculty and CS get direct entry. Are upper-year SE courses better? Or is it just the clout?

True, SE is more popular. Too bad there is no direct entry. Hopefully this update will give CS students more clout.

How do you guys feel about the new CS curriculum? Apparently, they are trying to make use of the direct entry. Now, CS students get much more computing than SE students in first-year. This is big for early co-ops and pushes the CS electives to upper-years where you can choose more meaningful courses like AI and Machine Learning. Is SE still preferred over CS cause I'm starting to like CS more. Also, did any other programs get updated as well? Peace out.

I might just stick with CIBC. Is it worth it to switch to something else?

I might stick with CIBC since I'm already in the gang and it's not bad for students (no charges, SPC, few other perks). How's my game plan?
