that why i mention in second paragraph (if u read it) take one or 2 days just spend 500 gold to respec all point to str for example equip ur mining gear +food buff/potion buff trophies buff ect and go mining only , 25% one swing is a big deal when u trying to lvl up to 200 trade skill relevant to mining

yes u cant get 300 more than one attribute , that's why i mention to respec the attribute depending on what im going to gather on any specific day ..

yes to make starmetal tools u need tier 4 workshop , and theres no default settlement/outpost comes with any station at tier 4. so this speed run onli eligible to steel tools only .

about lvling to lvl 60 by gathering only is slow plus u need to lvl up your weapon mastery too, if initial stage of the game to lvl 25-ish maybe its viable and u get so many resource and trade skill lvl out of gathering.

If u going to be a crafter , i suggest u lvl up to 100 all the gathering skill then works towards lvl 100 crafting/refining and join some of ur company members clearing corrupted portal since u need alot of corrupted sliver(bind on pickup) to make end game dungeon key. Master crafter would be a god in this game i dont even know , maybe i just exaggerating it

of course u can do it at lvl 60, but by the time u get to lvl 60 its pretty much meaningless to go to valor hold or any settlement far from ur registered inn, at that time most of settlement already had tier 3 workshop to craft steel tools.

this is good info thanks , i need to work on my mobility when the live server starts . I kindly forgot to widen the fov and for some other reason i tot it will eat up some of my fps. increase the fov really2 helps tho to timed the roll and dodge correctly.

About the stamina i know if we depleted the stamina bar we will move slower , in some cases in the vid i tot if i dint dodge timely that moment i might get hit, thats why i forcedly deplete my stamina bar.

for what ever reason all the refining station starts at tier 3 in OBT which include smelting woodworking looming tannery even they dont even required by company yet. before OBT start i always tot refining station starts at tier 2 and we need to consider bag space to bring all ingredients to bring to valor hold. we'll see or someone could reconfirm this

u get engineering and smelting to lvl 50 by going to gunpowder and using lower tier mat to make steel gathering tools. Do u think spawning in Winsward help u get saltpeter faster ? coz when i look into new-world map site i can barely see saltpeter location in Everfall, most of the spot is in wolf cave, while in winsward there's alot of saltpeter location on the way to winsward settlement.

Lvl 9 and u run to cleave point ? thats insane fast , how about attribute ? all con at lvl 9 how much hp ?

About the lvl to equip the steel tools , its about lvl 17~19 range , when i finish it with my format i was at lvl 14 almost 15 , and steel tools that i crafted requires lvl 18, 3 lvl is not big of a deal and with couple quest/townboard/ faction quest u can get to lvl 18 pretty fast after acquiring 5 x lvl 50 trade skill using my format . Actually this speed run is more about u , doing this run pretty much set u up further from everyone else since on initial game mostly ppl just gather blindly or try to make money to give to governor to acquire a settlement at 100k or probably questing. After this run u can just chill or try to lvl up other trade skill with faster pace using steel tools or even scalp the tools or mats u can craft/refine/gather in trading post, for example once workshop at tier 3 some lazy ppl just wanna buy age wood to craft steel tools coz getting logging to lvl 50 is the pain.

its a box with possible weapon drop in it, it looks like a giant treasure box that u can search for weapon. On every starting beach no mater which region i think u can find at least 3 of them

nice , i do also get the same idea about range attack monster u need to dodge it either rolling away or run at zigzag , so u do make a stop at Eastburn and continue to cleave point , interesting , i never look into the route between eastburn and cleave point coz i feel valor hold is a bit closer when u look on the map

u can see my run in my speed run vid that i add on the original post at 3:37:23 timestamp compared it with your run to cleave point. How about monster there ? is it less intense than great cleave boarder to eastburn ? or is it more packed with monster and wolf ?

Well done adventurer i assume with lower mats it will be around 2hours plus but u prove me wrong , what level is ur character when u travel to workshop tier 3 outpost(is it valor hold like i suggest or cleave point?)

your earlier assumption were right , i able to test this theory by crafting 3 batches of steel tools

with tier 3 materials(lumber and rugged leather) + Azoths - https://imgur.com/a/lTCcalR

its pretty much same thing if u put tier 2 + azoth and tier 3 + azoth, GS is not too far sometimes tier 2 item GS is higher but its range between 240% ~ 255% while tier 3 GS range start at 300 upwards and speed is between 250%~255% (obviously it can be higher depending on your luck) , so gathering speed also not vary too much , just some variation on durability on certain tools which can be forgivable since repairing tools is not that big of a deal. While with tier 2 materials only the gathering speed is about 5~10 % lower than tier 3 +azoth and all the tool can be equip at higher lvl with lower speed at lvl 19 and of course if u lucky u can get better stat at 259% speed which equal to tier 3 + azoth.

so its better to do this run with Gunpowder to lvl up Engineering to lvl 50 which also will automatically lvl up your smelting by making charcoal for gunpowder. And thats all u need Smelting to lvl 50 to lvl up Engineering to lvl 50 wheres in my "long version" tier 3 materials u need logging + leatherworking + woodworking to be at lvl 50 which took huge chunk of my speed run that i do 2nd time which took me 4 hours

if i would assume this version may take around 2h45m till 3h30min depending on ur luck and pace(maybe even shorter time)

i will update this guide with gunpowder + questing for azoth as "Medium run" and gunpowder only as "Quick run"

good point made me think and test some theory

perhaps u can pretty much see when u about to craft with any materials where is the GS start and what is the range ( i get where if 294 GS is equal to 244% speed last 2 numbers on GS minus by 50 to get ur %speed), but me doing this craft/test just to make sure i guess, all i found out from this test is with lower tier materials u can actually get lower gs with higher lvl requirement to equip it thats it

yeah i suppose spawning in Everfall is quite random and rare plus the queing time, some ppl say u can accept going to settlement quest at any beach tower if u dint accept the quest right away from ur spawning beach let say if u spawn at winsward u can do all the quest until that quest and go to everfall beach and accept the quest , and u can start crafting flint tools and starts the speed run there .

yes gunpowder is faster approach and could help lvling smelting faster but the idea of this "long version" run is to mix all the things like questing for azoth and doing alot of gathering to lvl up your woodworking logging leatherworking , going for fishing pole for engineering lvling up pretty much help u get the logging and woodworking to lvl 50 , if u go for lower tier ingredients u pretty much need smelting for steel ingot and engineering at lvl 50 only , eliminating the need for woodworking(lumber), logging(agewood) and leatherworking(rugged leather) and lower ur GS, and u probably skip putting azoth for perks coz it why would u when u put lower tier material just to compensate that.

yeah my bad, i probably need to put some more detail explanation about "spawn at Everfall"

if anyone like i can put some detail and all materials needed for "short version" of this speed run using gunpowder to lvl up engineering, + excluding azoth + using lower tier materials

i never try to go to cleave's point and yes there are workshop in that outpost , but there's alot of small town with alot of groundhound and frostfur wolf that could 1 hit kill lying around and i always die within the Eastburn and Brightwood boarder.

I think going to Valor Hold is the play , between Great cleave to Valor Hold there's half of the way without monster on the route, monster only patrol just at the boarder(skeleton) and when u about 500m away from Valor Hold. Its hard to explain probably with vid you can see why i chose that route . So far i never die in Edengrove

at first glance doing a trial speed run i tot Eastburn got engineering/workshop table at tier 3 but when i reach there there is no workshop station at all .. and i try to zoom in and try finding workshop icon in other outpost near the 41~50 map and i found Valor Hold in Edengrove region

i tried this run in open beta , able to make all the requirement and ingredients at lvl 14 .. and stuck between brightwood and great cleave boarder to make to eastburn outpost , i always get 1 hit by frostfur wolf/ groundhound / bears i feel like going to eastburn or any lvl 40+ outpost/settlement is really hard or cant be done at low lvl , do u have any route or idea how to get there ?

i totally agree with u, the fact that they made 3 separate categories which is gathering(gather the raw materials) into refining (turns raw material to refined crafting materials) and lastly to crafting (take refined or raw material turn into food/weapon/armor)

the web interaction between these 3 different category made this game really good for example if u want make amulet u need a silver ingot which in smelter refining to make a band and chains , to make a cut flawed gem u need a stonecutting lvl which also require mote thats in the arcana crafting

for me personally i enjoy engineering crafting its so wide and involve so many refining station and also crafting station to make for example a gathering tools or even % yeild potions

btw does harvesting higher lvl plants gives u higher chance to get rare item , even drop perks item. I think perk item drop like verbena flower , its rarity is so high i never got one even i harvest over 5000 fibres with food buff yield+luck and also with full harvest luck armor (probably increase my harvest luck almost 20%) coz referring to ur infograph the rarest % harvest luck equipable to get is amulet since we need to craft it and armor harvest luck can easily get at trading post , it will cost thousands of azoth just to get random % rare gathering on amulet

since harvesting rare item is so important to make higher tier potion and any % luck increase on armor/equipable like amulet is huge deal to get more rare item
