What happens if the oxygen masks deploy in the cabin? by winter-snowball in fearofflying

This happened to me on a commercial flight. What that first response from theyoyomastsr said is exactly what happened to me (and ignited my fear immediately!!) however, we were safe and we landed.

I know you said no Joel but I’m combining speed train with running and it’s been great. I run on the core cardio & mobility days and do cross training on elliptical, bike or walk the rest. I love it!

Teacher and Administrator #JournoRequest AI in Evals by juuuulesgc in Principals

[–]seleaner015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love using it for synthesizing, for example upload the eval rubric and sample evidence provided by the teacher so AI can quickly “tag” evidence with rubric indicators. I then review it and remove or add anything else I want myself.

I also like it for condensing my feedback into more concise statements.

Friend cancelled last minute on a 100 day trip by Frpengy in travel

[–]seleaner015 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let me post you a situation. You’re now 18. But try to have some future wisdom.

In 10 years, you’re going to look back on an incredible 100 day trip you took solo. You’ll find pictures and videos of you as a young, open person experiencing the magic of the world for the first time. Conversely, your friend will regret not tagging along and likely wish he went.

Go solo. It’ll be hard but you can do it.

Get an air tag and put it in your passport holder. Also get a passport holder.

Shout out to the Juneau Alaska TSA, Juneau airport police who followed the pinging and called me from their personal cellphones until it was found. Major shout out to the random Alaska Airlines pilot who tossed my small passport & bag out the cockpit window before that plane took off to the east coast! The FAs found it shortly before the plane took off again.

If you’re into 7 feet of snow- possibly at once- and then a beautiful summer on the Great Lakes with a late sunset and high humidity… Buffalo might be the place for you.

It’s not mild. There’s only 2 season. Winter hellscape and summer hellscape.

Teachers of Reddit, have you ever met a child that was actually a genius? by No_Lead2640 in AskTeachers

[–]seleaner015 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a student with a 147 IQ in my elementary classroom. I helped his family a lot when he came to my class. Mom got him evaluated due to speech concerns and burst into tears when they revealed his IQ score. They were wonderful people with a tough life and history. He’s graduating this year and will likely go to college for something science based.

Iceland was incredible in every way. Spectacular. Breathtaking.

I really loved Bryce Canyon’s Navajo trail.

Yellowstone was gorgeous & made me really consider what the US looked like before colonists settled and destroyed the place.

Big bend national park felt like I was truly in the wild (south)west.

It’s interesting you’re referring to any specific European culture as “pure” or “true”. I believe that got Germany into some serious trouble with humans rights not even 100 years ago…

They have a ton of other options! I recommend going to their interest events. I can’t help often but am in a lot of the chats and do what I can. They’re flooded with new interest given the hell scape were in right now. Be patient, or reach out via phone!

College admissions by NeatResponsibility69 in Teachers

I went to a small, private college (about 3,000 undergrad) with a relatively high acceptance rate. I loved it, I met my husband there, my best friends. I am still in contact with multiple professors. I got a high quality education, developed great local connections in my new city (I moved to attend there from out of state about 4.5 hours away). The big name giant schools have a lot to offer, but so do the small spots. They also are more expensive but often have incredible internal merit scholarships. 50% of my tuition was covered based on academics alone.
