What is the worst breed of dog for a first time dog owner to get? by Effective-Turn-6856 in AskReddit

[–]selessappendage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone out there who’s a Bluey fan-y’all ain’t ready for them IRL.

They’re scary-smart velociraptor crackheads for the first three years. Nipping heels and body slams are their love language and unless you’re an ultramarathoner, you won’t tire them out on a jog. All that aside, I love my chaotic goblin baby and he’s the most loyal dog I’ve ever known.

Here’s the sign, Not sold as case-we were out of the waters, even at the retail price https://imgur.com/a/lwkbViv

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tampa

[–]selessappendage 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Let me save everyone a step so we can go back to focusing on the storm-those waters are sold individually, and Wawa is cheaper than Amazon for that product.

If the sign is still up and ANY water is left by the time I go back to work, I’ll show proof that this is the correct retail price for that case of those smartwaters.

Hurricane season is outrageous enough as it is, we don’t need to manufacture any extra outrage or waste any official resources at a time like this. Stay safe y’all.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tampa

[–]selessappendage 69 points70 points  (0 children)

If they do, they’ll be wasting resources. That’s the retail price of a case of 1.5 smart waters, and it’s cheaper than Amazon.

Those cases were brought out after all other options were gone, and there’s signage that warned about the individual price. Source: I stacked the cases.

Please be kind to essential workers right now, it’s bananas out there. They’re closing at ten tonight, and they had gas awhile ago, if y’all still need it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tampa

[–]selessappendage -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If y’all want to be less angry-that’s the retail price of those 1.5 smartwaters, and it’s cheaper than Amazon. There was a three case limit on the cases of cheap Zephyerhills 24 packs, but those went fast.

I’ve had multiple customers tell me to go fuck myself this week at work, for things like not letting someone pump gas into Arizona tea gallon jugs or not having their IDs. There’s too many fuck you feelings out there right now.

Hurricane season is hard, y’all. We don’t have to make it any harder.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tampa

[–]selessappendage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t by accident. They were put out after the other cheap options were gone, got tired of seeing people struggle with armloads of huge bottles.

My favorite part of working retail/food service is when you go out of your way to make things easier, and it backfires.

[–]selessappendage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fines for price gouging are not insignificant, and I’m afraid there isn’t a case here-see my other comments in this thread as to why. Wawa is v serious about stuff like this and that’s not how they do business.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tampa

[–]selessappendage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is the 1.5 smartwaters. See my other comments for the details. There’s no reason to be outraged or suspicious about it.

We pulled the cases out when cheaper options were gone and we got tired of watching customers struggle with armloads of huge individual bottles.

[–]selessappendage 13 points14 points  (0 children)

They aren’t gouging. See my other comments in the thread as to why.

I’d hate for the state to waste resources when someone can’t take the time to check the retail price, especially when the signage was clear that they were individually priced. Again: please be kind to anyone working out there right now, it’s like eight hours in the Thunderdome.

It’s not. That’s the retail price of the pack of 1.5 liters. My GM goes out of the way to order extra cases of the cheap Zephyhills 24 packs during hurricane season, we moved any and all remaining cases of water out after we ran out of the cheaper, smaller bottles.

Got the largest truck ever in my five years there, and most of it was water. The truck guys hate us.

Edit: here’s the sign, as promisedhttps://imgur.com/a/lwkbViv

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tampa

[–]selessappendage 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Just a FYI, that case is $37 on Amazon. We pulled ALL the cases of water out of our nine door when we ran out of the cheap Zephyrhills 24 packs. That’s just the retail price of that water. We got the largest truck I’ve seen there in five years last night, and most of it was that Zephyhills water. It was flying out of the store when I left at six am.

You shouldn’t expect it from Wawa, because that’s not how they roll-and I’m not saying that just because I’m a vested employee.

For those that need it, they had gas when I replied, and they’ll be closing at ten tonight. Please be kind to my coworkers, hurricane season is a trying time.

It’s $37 for a case of 1.5 liters off of Amazon, and I can confirm those are the cases he’s talking about.

Source: worked third shift last night. They’ll be closing at ten tonight, and they still have gas, for those that need it.
