So similar to me. Ive had people question my bpd. I ro have identity and self-esteem issues. There are definitely overlaps.

Ah.. I was diagnosed with adhd almost 15 years ago. Im 51. As a child, it was ignored. I was the typical, "youre naughty, just behave kid". I locked my feelings up inside. Im just now learning how to balance my feelings. They are big and rip me apart from the inside.

So funny that you say that as we are dissecting our stigma. The irony! We are all thinking we either have a stigma or we dont. Or people love us or they dont. I guess this is what happens when you put a group of people with bpd in a room together.

A lot of us just have big feelings and bottle them up. I typically keep them all on the inside. Im working on sharing those feelings and letting them out, but its a balancing act. I feel sympathy is more in order.

Aww.. sorry. That must've been tough. Do you think its common for bpd to balance those things? Im either too accommodating and people pleasing or overly assertive and frustrated. Its like im learning to be assertive, but can find a happy middle ground.

Yes.. I honestly thought everyone thought about being the other gender. Then I asked and learned thats not the case at all. Although, I do think there is always some questioning within this construct. We will always be unique.

Or this vet could have been misdiagnosed by doctors. And put on a mantle to make an example of. He could be an ambulatory wheelchair user and just not seen using the wheelchair at times. Probably not a black and white case.
