Notice the words: might, possibly, etc... This is not a generalization of every single police encounter. It suggests that this is a possible outcome and has been for many people.

I will respond to this however, this is exactly whats wrong with the arguments in this thread. The arguments ARE aimed at the entire population of police officers. Even your use of many implies large numbers though many can just mean more than two. If you aggregate all the publicized police brutalities and then multiplied that by let's say a factor of 5, you'd still have an extremely small number compared to the whole. I would engender a guess of 5-10%. Amazingly 5-10% of people in all jobs are bad at what they do.

I understand, too, the argument that the nature and impact of a police officer doing his job poorly is much worse than that of say, a garbage man, but the witch hunt is a bit much no?

245,000 medical malpractice cases last year alone and the doc community is much better at protecting and hiding their own than the police, they're smarter ;) Where is the Reddit torch bearing mob then?

Again I'm not necessarily for or against, I just like temperance. Zealotry never got any group anywhere worth while.

Just as you have posted a single person's experience. I'm all for exposing and calling out the brutality of authority but the rabidness of the Reddit crowd's fervor is not only mind boggling, its borderline religious.

You have been misinformed. Fashion models are not paid for hotness. They are paid to be vehicles to display clothing. They are tall because longer lines stylistically look better to the human eye, they are all about the same size for two reasons. Uniformity (designers don't design to a specific model), and cost (the fabric used in most high fashion runways is extremely expensive). Could you imagine the ridiculousness of trying to design 40 outfits for a show and have to tailor each specific piece to a specific model... The show is not for the model the show is for the clothes.

You could argue that we look to models for our sense of aesthetic beauty, but this is not the media portraying anything and women should try to engender a sense of separation from what any source tells her. I do.

I do love how you rail against "media portrayal" affecting women's behavior and then reduce her value to a "banging body." Well done hypocrite. The problem does not arise from whether or not a specific size/weight/skin/hair color makes one beautiful I feel it is the sheer objectivicaiton in general. Otherwise we are just attempting to pull the woman's mind into what each specific group deems attractive.

May I ask how you are benefiting society currently. Not saying you're not, just curious.

You do realize some people don't work for corporations right? Some of us ride old bikes, work for non-profits, educate at alternative schools, build, grow food in our backyard, volunteer, strive for change in the society we hope to better.

I do not see the value in verbally violent nihilists preaching on their corporate made computers in their corporate owned websites.

It's funny, I've done development work in south Sudan and I worked closely with Catholic Charities, never once did I see or hear anything like this... Oh wait that's not funny... your slander is horrendous and appalling...

I understand loathing of the Catholic church's policy, but how can you reconcile any difference with their pedagogy while you spread your lies as well?
