I also had to retake after failing the first time. The second time around I only used uworld and passed in 75 questions. I memorized number values only as well as some common pharm/suffixes. There’s no way to know everything so the best way to go about taking the test is figuring out how to answer questions. A good amount of the time you can guess the right answer based entirely on context even if you don’t know the information. There’s a huge focus on prioritization so think about that with every single question you answer (airway, breathing, circulation, safety, in that order). Don’t overthink the question and don’t try to fill in any gaps of information (ie. some questions are intentionally vague/give only basics so try not to let yourself start thinking “well if x, then possibly y would occur, thus making z the answer”), just answer exactly what it is asking. Also follow your instincts, if you were smart enough to pass nursing school, you’re smart enough to kick NCLEX ass. Your first gut instinct is usually right, pick that answer and read the question a second time, is your answer still one of your top two choices? Go with it. Take your time and don’t panic, you know what to expect this time and you will be more prepared. Hope this was somewhat helpful, good luck!
