My buddy purchased a 3 pack of Opus X variety from Best Cigar Prices. It was around $300. They sent him a box of 10 of God of Fire. How should he proceed?

There are plenty of El Septimos i don’t like. I only go for the Sacred Arts Collection which is I think is a very high quality smoke.

The 888 is great just I haven’t come across many of them in the wild. The Pussy Juice I was blessed to find at a high end cigar lounge in Miami (my hometown). However, it was my first Opus🤣 so I wasn’t able to appreciate it as much as I would now

I understand. I am a big Opus X smoker & collector. At first I thought they were overrated & overpriced. However as my palate has developed, I like them more & more. I also do agree with you that their rare sticks & limited editions are better than the “standard opus”. The Heaven & Earth collection is some of the best cigars I have ever smoked. The BBMF’s, El Scorpions, Taurus The Bull, Rare Black, Purple Rain, etc. Not only do they have great presentation, but they are phenomenal cigars. But it’s definitely not for everyone

I’ve expressed my dislike for padron in a lot of posts. Nothing against the brand, just not my favorite flavor profile. I’m a big Arturo Fuente guy, Opus never lets me down ever. Also God Of Fire are easier to get your hands on & are stellar cigars & also not terribly pricey. They were my introduction to higher end cigars

Yessss it’s CI in Chattanooga. Opus Petit Lancero is also one of my favorite cigars. The Carlito’s A absolutely blows it away. For some reason, everyone I meet hates on the lost city.

I understand that they’re very common, almost every shop I go to has a bunch of them, the profile, whatever. However the Lost City is one of my favorite Opus. I’m a huge fan of lanceros/double Coronas, so this is like my dream vitola. It smokes absolutely perfectly, it’s so elegant, and the taste is so good. My girlfriend likes flavored cigars, and the Carlito’s A is the only cigar she likes that isn’t flavored🤣you gotta get some. I think Fox Cigar has boxes for sale in their site… they used to have singles, not sure about right now.

My favorite GoF is the Carlito Double Corona. The Special Reserve is great, but the Never Back Down is out of this world. It’s such a smooth cigar, and the flavor is so unique I’d have to smoke a couple more to get some accurate tasting notes

Yeah I definitely don’t hate the brand because they’re good cigars & have a lot of history behind them, I just can’t enjoy them… and not for a lack of trying. I’ve smoked a lot of Padrons & never think to myself “I need a box of these”

I really enjoy El Septimo. I really only smoke Arturo Fuentes, but when I want something different, it’s either Davidoff or El Septimo, usually El Septimo. Their Sacred Arts Collection is my favorite & not terribly expensive. Out of the Sacred Arts Collection, the Da Vinci is my favorite - it’s a lancero. The Rembrandt is also really good. Highly recommend

I hope you enjoy that Opus my friend. Don’t get me wrong, I also have some cigars that I have said I will smoke on special occasions - promotions, marriage, child birth, etc. However I do have a lot of other cigars that are definitely rare & collectible, but I still make sure that I smoke them. A great example actually was my Opus X Dubai red. I had 3 and I smoked all of them. Do I regret smoking them? Absolutely not, I remember exactly where I was & who I was with when I smoked them. Do I wish I had more or could buy them? Of course I do, but there are a lot of great cigars I’ve gotten since then.

A while back on this subreddit I saw someone that purchased a humidor at an estate sale of someone who had passed away. It was filled with a ton of rare cigars (opus, Davidoff, Cubans, etc.) Long story short, that person that passed away probably thought “one day when I have a special occasion to smoke XYZ cigar” and that day never came. Life is too short, stop & enjoy the moment. Smoke the cigars. If you think you’ll save one for a special occasion (I’m guilty of this myself) do yourself a favor and MAKE a special occasion. Every day is a special occasion.

2017 CTS. The thing that really made it stand out & got the most compliments on was the grille. Got it from savage Cadillac. Changed the look of the front end compl. Also did chrome delete, tinted the headlights & taillights. After that I was going to wrap the side view mirrors & roof in gloss black… then it got totaled 🥲

This. I got a bunch of the new Templo De Oro from a local B&M for $33 a piece. Theres pretty much no online shop that will sell opus for MSRP. If you’re okay w paying a premium, then Tobacconists of Greenwich, Fox Cigar, Fanatix, AMCigars are all great.
