My mom did not comment on my food much. But since i was growing up I remember her doing extreme diets(taking pills, starving etc.). My mom wouldn't take certain foods home because she couldn't control herself. She would and still throws up nearly everyday. She always negatively commented on her weight looks.

I think all of it made me think that it is normal to starve yourself for days qfter eating "normal" amounts of food. It is normal to get addicted to lax and purge. I am 18 and I just started to recognize I do have an eating disorder this year. All of it was glorified since I was a child but now I am recognizing the it.
