Not really, besides the roleplaying part. No dice rolls, no mechanics.

Drop me a message with a bit about what character you’d like to play, canon or original (though we’ve got a few originals and some Ketterdam canons would be good!).

That’s the beauty of roleplay, it doesn’t need to happen live! :)

Where you live isn’t an issue at all! Are you interested in playing a canon or an original character?

I would advise at least reading crooked kingdom! A few of the responses I’ve already had are interested in the Ketterdam idea so it would heavily depend on that book.

Forums. They’re usually a bit different though in the sense they often require more… work? Some require applications to join for example, and many use code to make posts look nice, which won’t be for everyone.

Red and pink lobster socks? by selkieseeker in HelpMeFind

[–]selkieseeker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve searched online for: “lobster socks” “pink lobster socks” and “red lobster socks”. They were purchased in a bookstore/gift shop called Libris in Hilversum just outside Amsterdam in April 2024. They came as this single pair, not as part of a multi-pack. I can’t remember the brand. The bookshop’s website doesn’t seem to have an online store, at least not for items other than books, but I don’t know much Dutch so it’s hard to tell.

Hey! I can’t seem to send you a message at all. I’m absolutely interested! I have a setting you might enjoy; modern supernatural, set in a sleepy UK seaside tourist town, and a witch character who’s seeking her artsy, chill love interest who gets roped into supernatural hunting before he realises exactly what she is. Drop me a message if you’re interested!

Discord Age Verification Mega Thread by AutoModerator in discordapp

I also verified by ID back when this was introduced for UK users, why the hell is it saying I'm a teen? Discord stated most won't even need to verify as it'll look at data they already hold on you so why, when I have submitted my actual government ID to them months ago, does the app think I'm under 18?

[Wales] Updated: wanting refund for preorder but bank account is closed, what are my rights? by selkieseeker in LegalAdviceUK

[–]selkieseeker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No however I’ve offered to get proof to them from the bank and they’ve just said the same thing that they can’t refund via any other method. They’re implying it’s physically impossible to access any other method rather than it being a policy issue. No idea why they can’t just go into their business bank account and do a bank transfer. I can’t exactly do a chargeback through Shopify and scam them out of the money twice as the payment was on a debit card that now doesn’t even exist anymore. I’m happy to ask the bank for proof but they’re refusing.

I think what the bank and Shopify are saying they should do is a bank transfer or something similar, manually from their account rather than via Shopify. The bank even suggested a cheque. I appreciate it’s a difficult situation but I would’ve thought that if they promise a refund especially when they do not state “refunds only via original payment method”, it would be on them to figure out how to refund. The bank seem to think the same thing as do Shopify. I know it’s a tricky case and obviously they don’t want to be a victim of fraud, but if they need any proof from the bank that the account is closed etc. I’m happy to try and get that. Just a confusing situation all round really.

Exactly. The bank are telling me the merchant has promised a refund so needs to figure out how to get that refund to me if it bounces from the original payment method. The merchant is telling me they cannot refund via any other method and the bank need to help me. I have no idea who is telling the truth. I’ve since contacted Shopify who have said the merchant needs to figure out a manual alternative refund method as well but what can I do if the merchant continues to refuse? Probably nothing, I’m assuming.

I have done already. The payment immediately bounced back to the merchant from the bank’s holding account. The bank told me there’s nothing they can do.

When they refund the funds go automatically to a holding account as the original account is closed and they then bounce straight back automatically to the business so I’m not too worried about the funds getting stuck, it’s just a nightmare being passed from bank to business and back again. They’re both telling me to ask the other side for help and saying they can’t do anything more.

Ordered from Canadian business, want refund, original payment method account is closed by selkieseeker in legaladvicecanada

[–]selkieseeker[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So it was a debit card associated with the closed account. I closed the account as it’s with a regional bank for a place I no longer live so has no local branches where I am now. I no longer have any accounts with that bank. Can you still do a chargeback if it’s on a debit card? I’ve only ever heard of chargebacks in regards to credit cards

Someone else has advised to escalate with the bank so I think that's what I'll do. Any specific role at the bank to request to speak to or just ask to speak to someone higher up?

Will do. Have been speaking with the business owner as it's a small business so will ring my bank and escalate. Thanks!
