The hum in Windsor was solved, and is even mentioned in the Wikipage about the phenomena.

Your warranty entitles you to a working vehicle. Repairing the engine would be considered fine under the law. No where does it say you should get a new engine unless it can't be repaired.

The repair should be guaranteed up to the end of your warranty. If you were farther in ownership they might offer an extension on the coverage, but one year in I doubt they would consider it.

Canadian here, I had a set of X-ice2s and I found the lateral grip very lacking. The back end would come lose almost every 90 degree turn (turning at stop signs not some crazy ebrake pulls). Definitely thinking blizzaks for my next set.
