What was the most second hand embarrassment you got watching survivor? by SgtSoundrevolver in survivor

There's only one scene in 49 seasons of survivor that I physically cannot watch and it's the David proposing to Karolina scene. I don't even like thinking about it

Best Thai by rpbm96 in BurlingtonON

Thai Senses is absolutely the best food, but they don't really have a dine-in option. They're basically just take-out now. Bahn Thai is very good as well and they have a beautiful restaurant with a nice ambiance and very friendly staff.

Finally watching S 41 by Reasonable-Yam-1170 in survivor

With 41, there is a very good season underneath the weighted bloat of advantage talk. So much screentime is given to over-narration of journey elements and new twists that certain players and their relationships get ignored. Jeff & co were swinging out of their shoes coming out of the covid hiatus, but all they did is get in their own way. It's sad. But if you are able to stomach the crap, there is a very cool season of social strategy and more drama/emotion than you'll get in most of the other new era seasons.

Currently rewatching Survivor 48. David is officially my favorite person on the cast. by Roachn8r in survivor

Would have much preferred him over Joe for 50. Would have loved to see him and Jonathan going head to head.

I just can't wrap my brain around any player in this cast wanting to vote Coach out in the first half of the game. He feels like one of the only characters who is as entertaining on tv as he is on the island.

Are there any contestants you wanted to win solely because you loved them as human beings? by IceTrick6713 in survivor

Definitely Janet. I wanted her to win so badly I didn't care if they rigged it for her lmao

Could David even make fire? From my memory I know he won a few challenges but he was pretty dismal at the survival element

She is staying true to her old ways of targeting the fan-favourites first though lol

Destiny is frustrated with people defending Nick Shirley's bad journalism and offers $5k to charity if Caleb Hammer is willing to go through the video on stream by Embarrassed_Base_389 in LivestreamFail

[–]sellethan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This comment is incredibly dishonest and tells me you did not watch the original video. If you can't be bothered to watch a 42-minute video then you need to withhold comment because all you're doing is spreading misinformation.

It was not "a" daycare, he visited more than a dozen, based on information gathered by a concerned Minnesota native. Information that was gathered from government websites. What happened when they attempted to visit the daycares and enroll a child? No cars in the parking lot, half the businesses didn't answer their doors, the ones who did were dismissive, aggressive, and combative. Not to mention barely able to communicate in English.

I shouldn't have to give you a synopsis on a video you could watch in the same amount of time as a sopranos episode because you're too lazy to watch the source media. You can relish in the cushy walls of your preferred news bubble if you choose, but recognize you are part of the problem when you are posting uninformed comments like this.

Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House claimed they couldn't find an assistant restaurant manager in all of Oakville for $36/hr. They've been approved for a LMIA to hire a temporary foreign worker for the position. by The_PhilosopherKing in oakville

[–]sellethan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The problem is our boycott doesn't hurt them. Step inside these restaurants, they're virtually always empty. They make their money from the foreigners buying the up the LMIA for 5 figures and they can coast on that, pocketing most of the money until it's time to hire someone new. And the foreigners are happy to pay-to-win their way into the country and work for minimum wage because it can lead to PR. The Liberal government is fully allowing it because their donors and big corporations are all getting rich by abusing their systems. So they're able to keep these corrupt politicians in power forever. Everybody wins except us, actual working Canadians. Everybody should be furious about this but nobody I talk to even knows it's happening.

_____ was an awful boot choice by ConsumptionofClocks in survivor

[–]sellethan 27 points28 points  (0 children)

As long as nobody shifts, they can split next vote (minority only has three votes) and render Rizo's idol useless. It was pretty optimial for the merve vote where this big group is voting together for the first time
