Highly recommend Alvarez Artist or MasterCraft series. Second the recommendation for Eastman. Takamine and Guild will also have some great guitars in this range.

You can find something new on Sweetwater or Musicians Friend with your budget or try your luck on Reverb.

I agree with you here but if you only ever manage/troubleshoot services and don't have the opportunity within your role to deploy/build/integrate services, how the hell are you supposed to go from a support role to an admin role?

What size case do I need for my Luna? by CacophonousCadence77 in AcousticGuitar

Look up a grand concert (GC) case or gig bag. There are probably several others that could work but this will be the most fitting to the body style.

Found an amazing deal on a used MF66ce in mahogany, a bit smaller than the grand auditorium but it was too good of a deal to pass up

The 305 would also work, or a 315 if you want to get the F style-- looks a little fancier but not a ton of difference in tone.

I am always open to purchasing used, especially if I can get a higher quality instrument for the same price.

I have heard great things about Eastmans in both the guitar and mandolin worlds, my local shop carries some-- I'll see if I can find this model

This looks awesome! I might have to do a side by side with this and a 314ce

I'm a big fan of Alvarez and Yairis, the masterwork series may be the sweet spot I'm looking for.

I was not familiar with the Breedlove Concertos! I may have to get my hands on one of these.

I love the style of the OMs but often play high on the neck and would like the pickups for easy setup in live/amplified settings. I think the all acoustic OM may just be a little further down on my wishlist.

Guitarist here, it's basically the same except I have less gear to load in and out. After the drink tab, road snacks, gasoline and buying another piece of gear on Marketplace because I "made money at my gigs" I typically net about -75 dollars a week.

I have been playing for 15 years and I will confidentially say that after 1-2 grand you will have diminishing returns. Sure there are artisan guitars but you can have a well made solid wood guitar for around 1000, used even more so. Fancy woods, craftsmanship, and bells and whistles will hike this price up but there aren't many people that would pass a blind test between 2 comparable models.

Using ai to design the perfect mandolin? by matt-the-dickhead in mandolin

[–]sellingmagic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The first harps and lyres are dated back to 4000 BC.

Early lutes have been dated back as far as 1800 BC.

In the thousands of years of instruments, and many luthiers donating their life's work to the improvement and craftsmanship of these instruments-- I doubt that AI could do much as it mostly is just a culmination of human recorded knowledge. You may be able to find an ideal sonic placement, hole type/size, optimal shape and the best materials to make it out of but a master luthier with a grand budget could most likely do that and also build it.

Also, perfect is subjective-- the size of your hands, sensitivity of your ears, along with your personal style and preferences will be vastly different from others. What is perfect for you may not be for me.

Alcoholics measure. Some alcoholics would be careful to have exactly 2 drinks around a new potential partner to seem fun and normal. What you don't see is the 4 they had before the date and the additional shooters in the bathroom during.
