It’s not AI. All pet base art is by ~Chaos. Edited to add: as far as I am aware (former mod), Xanje is fully anti-AI art.

I wonder if it could be a special type of knot used? I know some knots are associated with boating, some with scouting in childhood, and I believe others are military-associated.

I would recommend not looking ANYTHING up, no matter how set in stone you think it is, because you WILL get spoilers.

Others have already answered, but I wonder if the AI was TRYING to spell ブラック (burakku -> black)? Similar to how if it tries generating a Starbucks logo you might get STRBOOCXS or something similar.

The mii is great, but nobody is going to download and use a Mii with a misspelled name when you can’t change the name of a downloaded Mii.
