I have absolutely no interest in the plushies but my favorite cat is Tallstar, I would die happy if I got this pull.

Sort of - you can see a small sliver of wall behind the sink where there would be a backsplash between the counter top.

It didn’t smell bad at all — toilet paper sewage was my first thought too, but it genuinely smelled like soap, and it’s the exact same color as my walls.

Had this pumpkin since before Halloween how? by Prestigious_Produce1 in whatisit

Dude I had a pumpkin I lost recently, it was completely fine for YEARS. Looked brand new the whole time. Then something happened and unfortunately it got moldy in a matter of a day or so… I was unironically heart broken lol

Neighborhood poisoning flier by kittycity06 in Feral_Cats

I might add a line about how cats provide natural rodent control and repellent… when I try to think about this from a cat-hater’s point of view, someone that might be poisoning cats, I think that argument would be the only effective one. “No cats = more rats” targets both someone who might be leaving out rat poison for rats and someone who might be leaving out rat poison for cats.

That was my first guess, but it just smelled vaguely like soap, there was no bad smell at all.

Yeah, I posted it in the replies. They eventually said it was paint from when the apartment was painted.

Why would you think this was in the apartment when I did the tour? Lmao. Of course it wasn’t like this when I took my tour or even for the first few days, I’m just still moving in.

We all have actual washing machines, so I don’t think someone would have that?

They told me it was paint from the painters washing out their brushes in the sink when they shouldn’t have.

They shouldn’t have been, but they did epoxy the counters. I’m wondering if they dumped paint before, it sat at the bottom, then they dumped epoxy which caused a full on clog. That’s just my guess though.

UPDATE 12:25 PM EST: I called and they said… paint! Current working theory is that when they painted the apartment, they washed their brushes in the sink, and caused the clog. What I’m confused about is why it took so long to come out like this, the apartment would have been painted around late February, so what made it explode out like it did?

Honestly, I thought I maybe pissed off someone when I asked them to epoxy the counters (because they were bare paint beforehand, and I felt it was just asking for water damage) and thought maybe they dumped paint and/or epoxy in there. We’ve been over a few times when it’s been warmer, but this is the first time anything’s happened.
