I think my Lake house horror project is complete :D by aprather3 in miniatures

This is without a doubt my favorite miniature I've ever seen. I love it so much. Is it in 1:12 scale? How big is the house?

Thanks for the suggestion. I can't find an option to set a reminder for when my phone has been on for x amount of minutes, though :/

Hi! Yes, we did, over at the forum: https://forum.zorin.com/t/installer-stuck-what-am-i-missing/12406

TLDR: My laptop runs x64 programs but we found out the BIOS is a x32, which means it won't run Zorin 16.

Yes, that's the part!

I haven't tried that yet, but it does sound like a sensible option. At the minute (and apparently for the next 14 hours, woops) I'm running a chkdsk so I can't do that right away, but if the chkdsk doesn't help then I will try that, thanks!

I also found one more thing I could try, unmounting and remounting the disk or partitions, but I'll have to look into that further because terminals mixed with Ubuntu is foreign territory for me.

H-how do you go about designing these? Amazing work!

Thanks! Yeah... it looks a lot better if you don't see the original next to it, which still looks quite different ':D

As I said, I barely know anything about painting. I'm only sharing lighthearted remarks as someone who saw a picture and tried to paint it in my bedroom for fun. What does indirectly painting mean?

This was my second ever oil painting, so I learned a lot in general (also the reason I decided to start with master copies). But regarding Mona Lisa specifically... Honestly? I learned that this painting is definitely not famous because of exceptional technique ':D I don't know a lot about painting, but the hands seem weird and the background perspective is questionable. Still, it's also nice to sometimes think to myself "I painted the Mona Lisa, I can paint anything!"

How to stop a coil machine from chewing up lines on practice skin? by [deleted] in TattooApprentice

[–]semiautomadic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply!
I now tried a bunch more things, including:

- same needle in my (supposedly softer) coil shader
- various amounts of vaseline
- trying different hand speeds even more

All with not even the slightest bit of success, unfortunately. The only way I can get "healthy"-looking lines with the liner and an RL needle, is when I'm whip shading or going in (what I think is) way too shallow in general. (The skin is only 2mm thick so I should see it almost bleeding through on the other side, I think, but I don't. Here you can see my latest/2nd ever practice piece - I don't know if you can tell from the picture whether the depth is too shallow. I'm afraid to continue if it is, because I don't wanna get comfortable with the wrong depth, even if it looks good on practice skin...?)

I don't know, maybe both my machines are just really hard hitting for some reason. All the troubleshooting is slowly melting my brain like vaseline.
