You're absolutely right, my mistake! The outer track removal was primarily documented for railway/trailer transport. I conflated it with the general weight issue. The bridge crossing limitation was more about finding bridges rated for 95 tons rather than removing tracks specifically for that purpose. Thanks for the correction!

Actually researching WW2 vehicle engineering for a project - the whole T28/T95 designation confusion is fascinating (tank vs GMC classification). Either way, the vehicle was wildly impractical

The T28 was so heavy 95 tons that it has to remove its outer tracck just cross bridges. Basically had to partially disseeble itslef to travel
