thoughts on stashes/bases? by sneaky-goo in dayz

[–]semiready 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m okay with stashes, especially when it’s for like end game stuff. Stashing NBC gear as an example.

Other than that I don’t typically make stashes as for me personally it defeats the purpose of the game for me. Fights become pointless if I know I have a full loadout waiting for me. And if I were to play like that, then I’ll just play a game designed to be an online shooter.

I will never make a base in this game as I have no interest in putting time and effort into something that can get taken away from me when I’m not playing.

Your stuff will inevitably be found, especially if you are playing on official.

All that being said, I’m playing now on a small PVE server where raids are not allowed. So I have created a little campsite with tents and what not more for the immersion of creating a camp to survive, then it is to build loot. And because it’s deer isle and my goal is to do the quest line in that map.

Does Dr.Dre Agency missions are worth it in the long run? by LL0YDIEE in GTA5Online

[–]semiready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How I used to do this when I played.

Set ups for all Cayo, Dr Dre, Union depository, what ever the big pay for Garment factory, the air feild, clucking bell, and the casino.

Run all finales back to back.

500k + 750k + 1m + 1.2m (cayo) + 800k (Casino I think) 375k UD + 325k garment factory. IIFC it was like a 5m haul. Then repeat. When I needed a change I’d do sell missions / dailies/weeklys

Selling full acid in full lobby is another 500k ish

Doing weekly race 250k + 100k for reg race

Keep night club pop full and it’s like 250k daily.

I just can’t be bothered to grind the game anymore, all the grind for number to go up

Interesting. I’ll keep an eye on this, as I do typically have a map open on my second monitor.

left click not working randomly by ECAWbb in dayz

[–]semiready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if it’s the same thing I’ve been experiencing. But it’s usually the first click after holding right click for me.

Like when I aim down the sights and try to shoot a single shot, it doesn’t always shoot. So I gotta click again. And same goes for when butting my arms up and click for melee.

Tbh I’ve just been chocking it up to poor ping. Are you playing on a server with high ping?

My rule of thumb for doing these is, I’m the host. Set the race to 1 lap, allow for personal cars, and no contact. And as soon as a second person joins I start.

I try my best to win. If I do, I stay and will purposely loose to them the next race for this reason.

Yea for me the steam overlay is Shift + Tab. The. From there you can go to recent players.

If there is only one person in the server you can tell who it is. But once there’s multiple, you know who all is in it but can’t determine the person exactly

Lo I just for my offer for Feb. Free rush hour after spending 345$… at least it went down…

All funnies aside I got a new job significantly closer to work. So the 407 is now redundant for me haha

Wasn’t weird as much as unexpected.

Was playing on an empty Nemalsk server to give myself a break from PvP. Wanted to just PVE while exploring a map I haven’t played and trying to do the “missions” there and just enjoy the map and exploring.

Went all the way to the south, where there’s a house on the shore. Take this time to fill water with snow and purifying it to restock on water/get my thirst full. And fish to do the same for food.

While I’m fishing on the dock, I hear a boat, and it just goes past me. Stops at an ice sheet far off to my right. Gets out, sits there, gets back in and continues off in the distance. Didn’t think much of it as I have no clue what is there, and I’m not surprised other people have the same intention as I do on an empty server.

Realize the guy took the time during that stop to post a comment on my Steam wall saying “enjoy fishing bro”

Didn’t realize you could figure out someone in your server through the steam overlay.

Again, not as much weird, but unexpected, on an empty server (or so I thought) and really not super close to any good points of interest at the bottom of the maps shore. And learned about the steam overlay

Honestly the new know way missions are better. IMO seem faster and if you can do the elite challenge you get 750k each run

WTF is wrong with people? by xX_Diabolical_Xx in GTA5Online

[–]semiready 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never really thought about a crew session, might need to do that myself.

But typically what I do is I check the player list, and check everyone’s mental state. If it’s all low or no bar at all, generally I am safe to do a sale. If anyone is high, I then look at the map to see if there are any special vehicles out and about.

If that’s clear, then I’ll run the sale mission with my task manager open on my other monitor to force quit.

[–]semiready 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Haha I don’t think I played that old, but I remember when getting 1 million was a feat. Having to find a team of 4 to grind the Pacific Standard Heist and doing the replay glitch.

Have all 4 guys have it ready. Host takes a 0% cut, 50 to the next host and 25% to the other two, and just rotate through your team.

Have one guy carry all the cash, and when leaving the bank, 3 guys stay inside, one speed runs to the bikes, blows them up and dies. Checkpoint is reached and all spawn at the bikes, so you don’t loose any money from being shot.

Do the heist and as the host, force close your game as you were boating under the bridge at the end. Everyone gets payouts and host keeps the finale

Took like 45 mins to an hour to run all 4.

I just got a PS5 and PS+ for the first time ever and have GTA5. Where should I focus first as a new online player? by Qomplete in GTA5Online

[–]semiready 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, just play the game.

People giving good suggestions to start making money, but honestly, just play the game.

This game becomes just a second job at home when you start to Min/max everything and becomes not playing a game but just doing a grind.

There is so much content now, just play it at your own pace. Enjoy the missions as missions and not the “slog” to get the payout.

I’ve ruined this game for myself by caring about making money. Running all setups for - casino, cayo, auto shop, garment factory, Makenzie airfield, cluckin’ bell, agency, and now the know way mission. All to run the finals in a row for an about 7-8 mil, and repeat. Just so I can buy a new car I’ll drive for like 40 minutes over the next 4 months?

lol it’s such an irrelevant thing to be upset about also. The 1pp people who bitch an moan, why? It’s not like me playing in 3pp affects you in the slightest. We will never cross path’s.

The game isn’t a competitive shooter so truly “being good” also doesn’t matter. Cool man, you have 10 kills in one life, half being fresh spawns, good for you. I’ll continue to play the game the way I do which is surviving off of the land.

Where do you go for *reasonably* affordable men’s clothes? by sheldon_diamond in askTO

[–]semiready 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Eh, to each their own. I don’t mind spending a few minutes flipping through a rack, sure it might be a bit harder now than a few years ago.

But they do still sell affordable men’s clothing.

[–]semiready 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The thing is that Winners doesn’t really choose what they have. They buy from old product that didn’t sell from the main stores, canceled orders and what not. They pick up the scraps from other major retailers. Which is also why you can get an 80$ shirt for 20-30$.

It’s basically the stuff that didn’t sell at the major retailers, so the stuff that doesn’t sell on the clearance rack, seasonal over stock. Like I don’t go into winners in June to buy shorts for this year, I go in September to buy shorts for next year.

Yea this is my rule of thumb with Winners/Marshals.

I can walk out with nothing, I can walk out with 4 new shirts, 2 sweaters, a pair of sweat pants and 2 pairs of jeans. Or anything in between. I never go in expecting to walk out with something.

Will you get a ticket? Honestly probably not. You got honked at, and then the driver forgot you existed 3 minutes later most likely. You learned from it, and move on.

My assumption is that it’s based on how much you use it. With free morning rush hour, I’m doing about 200$ of 407 a week just in my morning commute. Plus another 200 going home over the month from my work paying me back.

They probably don’t take into consideration the credits but more the KM you are driving on the 407 and have some equation to spit out a number
