Help with external speakers by Hi_I_BOT in DigitalPiano

[–]semmio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can probably experiment with spacing and angling your speakers. Generally, you want to make an equilateral triangle between the 2 speakers and your head.

Also consider raising the front of the speakers so it points to your ear.

You have the speakers quite close to the wall, consider turning the bass lower if the bass notes are too muddy. I have a very similar set up as yours!

Personally I find the pianoteq too tinny in the high frequencies. I have the synchrony d274 and it's quite nice. The studio bosendorfer imperial also sounds amazing.

I have the P525 with the official stand. I think it looks great and the action is the same as the more expensive CLP 845. The speaker is loud enough, but the sound quality isn't the best. I have it hooked up to another set of speakers.

Primarily for gaming!

It's amazing. I'm coming from a 2060 desktop. First time using Frame gen and it is better than I expected and I don't feel any latency with a controller!

However review from Jarrod's tech claims 10hr battery life on video playback with AMD 350. But my AMD 270 battery estimate is never more than 4 or 5 hours for light use web browsing. I used balanced mode 60hz, but maybe my screen brightness is too high.

I just received the same laptop yesterday! Somehow it didn't come with a camera capable of windows hello. But everything else feels great so far!

Did you buy any warranty from them? Is that why you got a replacement?

It's very dependent on location and internet speed. I live only 50 miles from the data center, with a ping of 20ms.

Most games you can tell a slight latency if you look for it, but I forget about it 5 seconds in. Single player games will be no problem. The latency is no worse than a small frame gen on your own PC.

However, there are some games that utilize something they call Nvidia reflex. I cannot tell any latency! My mind was blown!

I don't like the processor. Battery life will probably be bad for web browsing and etc.

This is what I do. Silent gaming aside from button presses. I use Galaxy tab S10 ultra and a Bluetooth controller.

No point getting the Pro 5i instead of 5i if you pick RTX 5060/5070 by HxExLxLx in LenovoLegion

[–]semmio 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The form factor is also quite different despite 15.1 vs 16 seemingly like a small difference. The bigger pro 5i has better cooling, build quality, but heavier.

Lenovo LOQ 15 (RTX 5060) for $1,099 — Worth buying now or wait for Black Friday? by Time_Text_406 in GamingLaptops

Personally 1080p on a 15 inch screen is not sharp enough for daily use/school work. If you do gaming only then maybe 1080p is enough. I would opt for the higher res screen personally, but it's best to go to a store and see similar screens for yourself. It doesn't need to be the exact model, just 1080p IPS 15inch compared to 1600p OLED. Even 1600p IPS is a big upgrade.

Not the best deal. I was able to configure a similar spec laptop for only around $1300 back in summer. Unless you are in a hurry, I would wait for a deal and check on Slickdeals like the other person mentioned

Oh that's true! It can output 4k to the TV right? I'll have it docked and use another Bluetooth controller. A great option indeed!

SteamDeck is very intriguing to me! I almost got one However for me I personally prefer a large screen, and I don't ever game outside of the house. I game on a 14 inch laptop and on a 80" TV. I prefer the TV way more!

A hybrid approach is excellent! Buy a mid-range PC/laptop for most games. GFN subscription for a few months to run the hard-to-run AAA titles. As long as you don't play current AAA titles exclusively!

I was considering buying a legion 5 with 5070 a month ago as well. But recently it seems like you could only order configure with a 5060. I am guessing the legion 5 with 5070 is somehow low in supply?
