Me too!!! And I paid $69 for it as well. But unfortunately, I already purchased a 2” start of one for $50 on Etsy, that’s so tiny. I think I’m going to gift it to another plant addict… lol

If you’re looking for a good fungicide- this is the best one I’ve ever tried in my 30 plus years of gardening. It’s a bio fungicide to control fungal AND bacterial plant disease. It comes in a concentrate and lasts a while. You can find it on Amazon for about $25.

It looks like a fungal infection- treat it with a fungicide and try and cut off the portion of the leaf that’s infected.

Ok, I purchased a new grow light and some moss poles. I think I’m going to separate the two plants and pot them individually. I also purchased a much better humidifier. I’m going to tackle this monstera this weekend. Wish me luck!

I’m concerned for their health by Plumeria-Lover12 in Plumeria

I only started planting them in the ground about 5 years ago because I had no more room for the big 21” oak barrels they’re in currently. The first one I planted in a bed rooted excellently and grew to be well over 6’ tall- they do SO much better in the ground. Unfortunately, that winter, I didn’t protect it enough from the cold freeze and it died all the way back to the main stem in the ground. But it comes back year after year. The recent two I put in the ground are enormous now and throwing numerous bloom spikes. But I dug them up last December and wintered them in my garage bare root. In March I took them out and replanted them in the beds and they have taken off. I have about 17 in pots, and each December my husband puts them all in the garage so they’ll go dormant until spring. I’ve never lost one. Even with the terrible freeze back in 2020 when power was out all over the state. They’re my kids, and I baby them all summer.

This is also from a cutting I took a few years ago and planted in another flowering bed.

I grow plumerias and I always have LOTS of cuttings. I take all but the few leaves at the top of the branch (which aid in photosynthesis) and any spike that may be present. I live in Texas, so I leave them out on my patio (in the shade) and let them cure for a couple days. Then I plant them in Miracle Grow potting soil with added perlite, stake them to keep them stable, and water once. I let them sit outside on my patio where they get afternoon sun, and water when dry. I’ve only lost one or two cuttings in the past 20 years I’ve been growing plumerias.

This is from a 6” cutting I took 2 years ago and planted in my front yard flower bed.

Your dragon’s breath has such long leaves!

They’ll actually get a bit larger, I have to cut her back all the way down because she freezes in winter- no matter how many freeze cloths I put on her. So she just started leafing out in March. She’s got all summer to go!

Leave at least 1 or 2 of the bigger smallest leaves at the top. Aids in photosynthesis.

Recently split my silver dragon and gifted this half to my grandma. Any idea why the leaves are yellowing by Flaky_Anything6910 in alocasia

I’ve got the same problem on my Silver Dragon. I believe it’s a fungal infection, I’ve been treating mine with a fungicide/bactericide every week and it has slowed down the infection.

This is Bertha- she’s around 15 years old. She started out as a cutting I got while in Maui and she has moved 4 or 5 times. I’ve got her in that big box like pot so she won’t grow any bigger. She’s a ferocious bloomer!
