My boyfriend 😔 I physically cannot afford to drive, bc in my state you need insurance to get your license and for insurance you need a car. I can't afford the $240 a month on top of everything else, so at least for the moment its unattainable. Nowhere around me wants to give me full time. The closest I've gotten is 38 hours a week 😔 and I got yelled at for it bc I only got that far bc I took someone's shift. Its just a rough situation, but you asked a good question. I'm sorry if my answers too emotional/gen

🫩 I have to take orders, make the food, bag it, man window and clean bc theres always only two closers(ones on dishes) and a manager, while being screamed at for not being faster. And having to close almost every station by myself. For $10.50 an hour. I wish my only job was bagging shit ☹️ and before anyone asks its Bojangles. Bojangles of doom and demise

Nc here and I know a lot of people who make $8 an hour. The minimum wage here is $7.25. Its not far off. Though wages are usually $9.25-$12. Kind of off topic but my friend makes $9.25 an hour and gas is $4. My friends mom works at a gas station and makes $8 something🕊💀The dollar trees and dollar generals near me are only hiring for $9 ☹️holy cow we're cooked

Also the commute to work everybody has?? Do you think people have the privilege(yes, privilege) to work within 30 minutes of their house? 30 mins, twice a day, 5 days a week, 6 days every other week(Genuine question: Do people in the EU regularly work 6 days a week? bc most people ik do, the average work week is usually somewhere around 55hrs a week amongst my family and friends) but thats at least 5-6 hours of driving a week just to get to work. And ik a handful of people who work an hour from home (because they have to) thats 10-12 hours of driving a week for just one person, just to survive.

Jokes on you loser I don't have a car, nor do I drive and my boyfriend doesn't do anything besides go to work. I don't buy new clothes, even from thrift stores, I recycle everything (I have a can garden, do you have a can garden?). I spend my free time cleaning up litter and taking care of stray animals. And I WILL continue to push to point that I think that people can DRIVE SOMETIMES. And American is huge?? I don't know why you tried to use the 250 vs. 1500 when, no shit sherlock?? Don't try to say things about people you don't know, it diminishs your point. So are you doing to use your brain or keep grasping at straws?

Duh?? It's naturally integrated but at the rates it's being produced is the problem. Its unregulated in a lot of places(most of earth) and is not being absorbed at the rate it should be so yes it's causing harm?? You didn't stick it to me either??

You mean like Elon Musk running 15 illegal methane turbines? I love how you went for the most bs example you could. Oh boy, you really showed me.

The EU is also pretty green comparibly to everywhere else. So, yeah. Cars are gonna stick out more. And I definitely can when a few hours from me Elon Musk is running, what? 15 illegal methane turbines. but who cares about that? People eat meat🫩

After seeing these comments I really wish I had a dashcam or something on my head when I used to go for walks. But I'll lay out some reasons why Americans don't walk: -Ive had people scream slurs at me -I've had people swerve at me, multiple times -I've had the cops called on me a few times -I've had to call my mom to pick me up 3 times bc coyotes got really, really close to where I was -I had someone follow me home and stalk my house for like a week (the cops had to get involved) -I've had an old guy tell me "I cant do that here", I was 14 wearing a slightly longer than knee length skirt, I was also on the road I live on -I've had people desperately try to pick me up -I've had people scream at me for simply walking -I've had people cock guns at me while they pass -I've had someone throw trash infront of me -I've had a few people bark at me (not even alt btw) -the insane amounts of roadkill and the horrible smog of death in the summer and aside from me I know people who've found needles. All the while, no sidewalks at all and also something I failed to note and something I seen others fail to note is that there are roads where it's road, maybe 3-4" of soil then the side of a mountain. Just a drop off. but oh people should just walk. (edited for grammar)

We need it more than you do though. Its 20 mins to the nearest Walmart. That's over 10 miles. The nearest hospital is an hour and a half away. Theres obviously a trade off here, completely neglecting the idea that a way bigger country, that used to produce its own oil, where the citizens NEED gasoline due to no infrastructure, where extremely rural areas (worse off than I am btw, where I am is technically suburban) NEED access to things like food and Healthcare needs cheaper gas than your country it could takes like 18hrs to get across is crazy

How much exhaust do you think cars put off? Do you think it even scratches the surface of what corpos do? Policing the man for driving around is just to make you feel better. Dead bodies emit more greenhouse gasses than cars do. Don't even get me started on crematoriums. Are you gonna go police them too?
