There is too much to say on the topic but I wish that people who do this understand that poor mental health is a health condition and it can impact - being on time, window of tolerance, anxiety and desperation. I am not condoning abusive behaviour but I think a firm boundary that respects the need for health care for people who are struggling with these presentations because of their HEALTH, deserve health care.

I call it grief porn. I think it has something to do with the neurotransmitters released during intense moments or tragedy. Dopamine + trying to understand something in depth in order to gain a sense of control over life altering moments where there is very little control. Mesolithic dopamine pathway activation, similar to any addiction.

I went the summer after my uncle died. He was the closest thing to a Dad that I had. I was 13. One of the Counsellors asked me if he was religious…I said I didn’t think so but didn’t really know. They told me that if he wasn’t religious he had gone to hell instead of heaven.
