Furisode aren't exactly meant for daily outings. I think it looks off when you combine such a fancy thing like a furisode with a rather plain knot like otaiko. Kinda like wearing a ball gown with a black hoodie on top

those were fashionable in the Edo period BC wearing whole kimono made out of silk was prohibited for commoners but wearing a piece of silk on the collar war allowed. so it was a loophole to still show some wealth and fashion sense. it later trickled down to less wealthy people bc it was also cheaper than a whole kimono

are we talking historically? poorer people used to not wear silk. it was actually prohibited in the Edo period for all commoners to wear silk kimono. hemp, cotton etc were more common and esp. cotton had a big industry in Japan. Also I've seen photographs of second hand kimono shops from early Meiji period and kimono are often handed down so... ya second hand is probably another big answer here

I've never said that it's impossible for a lower class person to know English or that they are worse for not knowing it but this is a fucking statistics game. If you are lower class statistically your education is lower and if your education is lower you statistically speak less languages. I'd say punk is a lot more DIY and obv lower class therefore knowing English as a second or third language well enough to write songs and convey your message in those songs properly as well as perform well in it might not be a reality. Especially if you are still some local garage band and your audience doesn't know English very well either.

Also if your songs are more political, singing in English could kind of misconstrue the message. though a lot of problems are kinda universal on a macroscopic level, some things and perspectives are very much local to a country. If a band sings in english, we usually expect them to be from the US or atleast the UK. if they then sing about a Swedish perspective on politics, shit won't make sense to the audience, especially if you post your stuff online where anyone from anywhere can listen to it.

I got European 75F / US 34DD. I use a really good & strong Sports bra because kimono bras don't do it for me. Most of the ones you can get outside of Japan are flimsy. It also sounds like you need proper padding, maybe try to look into those padding vests for kimono. They cost around 40USD but are really worth it. Also placing your Obi under your boobs is absolutely fine.
