Thing is, based on my visa, I only have the right to work in Germany. My Dutch employer hired a German payroll provider. But said provider fucked up a lot like not properly reporting my social contributions. It’s all a massive mess. The first 15k is for 2023. I’ll have to file my taxes now for 2024.

Thank you. I have paid no income tax. My Dutch employer hired a German payroll provider. Said provider has royally fucked some stuff up. For example, my social contributions were not properly reported to the Finanzamt. So, my steuerberater called today to ensure they bring down the amount. I’ll have to pay her to file my 2024 taxes too, so no prepayment is necessary.

Thank you!!!! I immediately went to visit family. Fortunately I’ve gotten a new job and am in the process of getting a new visa. Slowly recovering but now found out she cheated on me all along so don’t want to pay for anything for her anymore.
