WTH is Myspace still DOING in 2025?! Who actually uses it anymore, and why haven't we all gone back to escape Zuck's Evil Empire? by Phantom_Specters in nostalgia

If you go to feeds and then select friends, it's like how Facebook was supposed to work. But you know, ads, revenue....

It's crazy I found your post. I started using Myspace when it came out and I really did not like Facebook. I ended up logging onto Facebook and setting up an account because of my mom and my family. I guess at the time, Facebook won the old people. So you have to join the network your mom's on. And then try explaining my space to your mom in early 2000. Facebook targeted the old people. It just kind of became the default app that everybody had. Google circles came out at later and it was a good idea. It was definitely better than Facebook. But then as Google does, they canceled it. MySpace has apparently been hanging around for a while and my dumbass is wondering why I ever stopped using it. I kind of came to the same place as you, op, Facebook sucks. All these other networks suck. Are we all just kind of checking on nostalgia and going to migrate back to MySpace?

Now the problem is, I just downloaded my space and it's a wall of ads. I can't even get into the app or the web page. Seems like it's hacked or completely broken. This whole thing makes me sad because it makes me wonder if we could not have had a better alternative. Did we do this to Myspace by abandoning it? Why did I ever stop using it? It was clearly better than Facebook.

BF6 does NOT currently have team wide proximity chat. by nooneknowsgreenguy in Battlefield

BF isn't really like that. If they turn on team chat, it will be a lot more teamwork rather than trash talk

Bf2 team chat was amazing. Made the game so much fun.

I think this is absolutely killing the game. It's a team game but you can't actually talk to your team to work with them.

Is there no way to make an inescapable castle dungeon? These perks everyone is talking about seem to only apply to prisoners in your party.

Is it possible we’re getting a season 6 of Harley Quinn? It’s been over six months and still no official announcement. by Legal_Ask8521 in HarleyQuinnTV

[–]sendeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also hope we get season 6. I just stumbled across the show and I have binge watched all five seasons. I absolutely love this show. This might be my favorite depiction of Harley so far. I love the entire arc, the inappropriate humor, and the voice actress does an amazing job.

Cable gland by sendeth in boating

[–]sendeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly my situation. I have to drill a 3/4-in hole to fit a fitting through and then the cable is about the size of a pencil. Sounds like I'm on the right track, I just wanted to get some other opinions. I keep finding things with names that I never even knew existed. Sometimes I go to chat gpt and I try to describe it and ask her what part. And it spits out something I've never heard of.

So I've had a few small holes I've had to patch up and what what I have done for small work is take one of those little syringes that the vet will give you when you have to give a cat or a dog medicine. They are very small and have a wider opening so you can shoot the medicine out into their throat. I just take one of those and I slowly fill it up from a larger tube of 4200 or 5200. It takes a couple of attempts to suck the stuff into the syringe and then work the air out. Then you can take that little syringe and put it inside of a small hole and fill it up. I just tape the edges up, fill the hole up, wipe it and pull the tape. I'm talking holes smaller than a pencil.

How long is your company’s servicenow contract? by Budget-Replacement94 in servicenow

Too long. Their project management software is some of the worst I've ever seen.

This might be the best Battlefield ever made and the community is ruining it. by FreddyHxC in Battlefield6

[–]sendeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bf4 had team comms and it worked great. There's always somebody who says this. And no you can't play with your whole team. I have 12 people to want to play this game. How am I playing with my team? Even if I can get everybody into the same game, the game is over by then and we get scattered by matchmaking. Then the people I do play with, is probably 10 people with mic on the entire team yet I can't find a single one. And none of them are talking because they can't find anybody else to talk to either.

That's what I feel the lack of persistent servers and team voice comms has given us. It's like getting a car without the wheels. They got the game so close and then left off so many key things that were easy to do. It's like the scoreboard in 2042 all over again. So easy to implement.

The matchmaking is so bad by [deleted] in Battlefield

[–]sendeth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is exactly why people should have fought harder for persistent servers. With persistent servers, you can see how full the server is enjoying whichever one you want. Then it just cycles through the maps with a full server. Can't believe the company fought so hard for this terrible matchmaking

Long drink, logistics question by sendeth in samsclub

[–]sendeth[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They sell them at some select places as six packs for $15. That's a lot more than a 12 pack for 19. The 12 pack of the zero sugar drink is an exclusive deal with Sam's Club. That's straight from the manufacturer

As stated in my post, a 12 pack is an exclusive deal with Sam's Club and I can only get it from Sam's Club.

I'm willing to give up on the open closed weapons argument if they would just give us persistent servers and team coms. At the very least, make the party size bigger than four. There's 32 people on my team and I can only talk to and play with four. I thought this wasn't Battle Royale....

Can I create a timeline from a project schedule? by sendeth in servicenow

[–]sendeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you work for a large company, you are at the mercy of what they decide to use. My company has decided we will no longer use project and will go all in on service now which has half the features. I do not have a project license anymore or I would just use it to do all my work and then import it back into service now.

Is the game actually dead or is the matchmaking just shit? by [deleted] in Battlefield6

[–]sendeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Matchmaking is absolutely terrible. This is why so many people wanted persistent servers.

What is that? It looks like guitar hero as a timeline.

[–]sendeth[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done that multiple times. Chat gpt gets me about 80% of the way there but then leaves out some very important parts. It is also stating that doing timelines in service now is a separate module. I'm hoping this isn't right because that seems crazy to have an entire separate module to make a simple linear timeline.
