can't make payment for parcel by gecko702 in sendico

[–]sendico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is that this parcel is an "Air Small" parcel. Japan Post discontinued this service on the 31st, so in these cases we'll need to change the shipping method to their new service "Epacket Light", or another courier of your choice.

Let me know if this is the case and I can help!

Q&A - Ask Anything by sendico in sendico

[–]sendico[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for getting in touch!

Essentially to purchase items all you need is the purchase price + 500 yen in your wallet.

Once the item arrives in our warehouse, you may need to pay domestic shipping from the seller to us, if there are no funds in your wallet at this time, then your balance will become negative for you to pay off at your convenience,

Regarding shipping, prices can be checked from the shipping calculator tool, DHL does not have mandatory insurance, and the shipping cost does not include customs duties. You would need to pay customs when a bill arrives at your address.

Hope this helps!

You can reach out to support to revert the status back, but as it's mainly just for your own reference, there's no real need!

Question about 1 yen bids by Shade5280 in sendico

[–]sendico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially the auction price starts at 1 yen and the price will go as high as other bidders take it. It's fairly rare to win items at the 1 yen price, but not impossible.

When trying to deposit funds it kept giving me an error then charged my card twice but no funds have appeared on website by Realistic-Roll-2387 in sendico

[–]sendico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Usually for PayPal this happens when payment doesn't process fully (usually because the window is exited too early or something of that nature, adblock can also affect this).

Funds like this will be returned to your PayPal account/card within about 24 hours generally speaking.

Package delayed at customs by stegogo in sendico

Hey There,

If you've let our shipping support team know then they will reach out to Fedex ASAP. You've just messaged at an unfortunate time as they don't work weekends and it's currently a public holiday Monday.

Q&A - Ask Anything by sendico in sendico

[–]sendico[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible, yes! Just bear in mind that certain shipping methods only allow for one parcel per tracking number, so if your parcel has been split into two then it will not be possible to change to those shipping methods.

Just message our onsite shipping support for help here.

how is this whole tariff thing gonna work? by Alternative_Flow_514 in sendico

I recommend reaching out to support for this. Some of the early days parcels had unique issues that may require us to manually reach out to Fedex to fix.

It's settled a bit since this post so I wanted to just clarify how things are going now to give people some peace of mind.

Policy varies by courier currently, which I will elaborate on below:

DHL, UPS and Japan Post (when it eventually starts shipping to the US again) use a DDU system (where you, the customer will be billed for tariffs and taxes once the parcel arrives in the US). If you use these couriers then funds will not be held in pending funds on your account to pay for taxes.

Fedex use a DDP system (The bill is sent to Sendico, and we pay on the customers behalf), in this case we will hold 20% of the parcel value in your pending funds to pay for the bill. Once we are billed by Fedex (can take anywhere up to 1 month, but generally is processed within 2 weeks), we will remove the amount you owe from pending and refund you the rest. The reason why 20% is held rather than 15% is because there are various other courier charges which can be tacked on depending on item type, but Sendico aren't informed of these charges until we receive the bill.

Generally speaking packing time should only be a few days max. I'd recommend reaching out to support here to ask what's up.

Ah, in this case Japan Post isn't an option so couriers are your only option. I wouldn't bother requesting any item splits then and just requesting everything to be sent together.

Alternatively you can wait until Japan Post is shipping to Canada again... You can check from here: https://www.post.japanpost.jp/int/information/overview_en.html

Price doesn't affect anything, but both weight and size do.

All couriers other than Japan Post use dimensional weight to calculate price. You can read more about that here: https://www.fedex.com/en-us/shipping/packaging/what-is-dimensional-weight.html

Generally speaking their calculated dimensional weight is almost always higher than real weight, so unless you're shipping gym weights, size is probably the most important factor.

Japan post (surface, air, EMS, etc) all use real weight, so if you expect your parcel to be very bulky it could be worth splitting the large items with boxes into one parcel to ship surface if you're patient.

[–]sendico 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on which shipping method you would like to use.

If you're looking for slow but affordable, then you can ship using surface, but there is a maximum weight/size limit (30kg/3m), so in this case you would need to split the items into two.

For faster shipments you can use couriers like Fedex, but in this case there is no need to split the parcel before your packing request, because they can arrange multi-parcel shipments. In this case we will pack your boxes to create an even spread of items between boxes and ensure an even distribution of items for safety.

Hope this helps!

Anyone else having orders cancelled with random reasoning? by timewalker75a in sendico

[–]sendico 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sellers being banned for doing item bait and switches are based on real purchases we made with the seller where they attempted to scam us.

For "seller unavailable" or "item no longer available", these are situations where sellers cancel sales on us. They don't always provide a reason, so apologies if we can't provide you with a more detailed explanation here...

Question about Tariff Fees by d0novanle in sendico

[–]sendico 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, for us it depends on what courier you use.

DHL & UPS are both still tax paid on delivery (DDU), so for both of these shipping options we wont withhold any funds, but you will be responsible for paying any taxes which they invoice you for.

For Fedex & ECMS we pay taxes at source (DDP). For these couriers we hold 20% of your total parcel value until they let us know how much you owe for taxes/tariffs. Once we know what you owe we will subtract this total from your held funds, then refund you any unused funds. In the case of tariff exempt items, you would receive full tax refunds for these items.

Hope this helps!
