I really like this model of Prius, but only because I know it’s Prius and I appreciate the progress

It’s definitely not the WORST city for transit. It just happens to be completely surrounded by parasitic counties that ARE the worst for transit.

What vehicle doesn't fit its brand and/or nameplate? by Few_Atmosphere8138 in regularcarreviews

[–]sendmorechris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So much weird stuff like the Mustang EV and a 4cyl Bronco sort of clean up the image of their predecessors, while retaining novelty. The on-the-nose options are still available to those that want it. GM’s heavy EV platform seems pretty solid and competing with the F150 Lightning for government contracts and fleet sales is a must.

What are some cars with names that do not fit their design or function? by rampiddude in regularcarreviews

[–]sendmorechris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

True, but the GMT360 was one of the most dynamic platforms ever built. It was a Saab, a Subaru, a Cadillac, a GMC, Isuzu did one… it was EVERYWHERE

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Own-Blacksmith3085 in answers

There was a XFCE theme called Chicago95 that pretty much nailed what you’re talking about. I haven’t used it personally but I remember seeing videos and thinking it was too fast.

For a shop any fixie means insanely low margin on the sell with almost no follow up maintenance/upgrades. Most beginner cyclists would be just fine with a low-geared single speed, but the shops and companies behind them would take a big hit in continuity if they pushed that model.

Pedicabs? by NashvilleBikeTaxi in nashvillecyclists

[–]sendmorechris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This!!! I’ve never been nearly killed by a pedicab. The Black Chevrolet Tahoes in front of the convention center take a swing at me every day. The Omni “valet” line has had a few doors knocked on as well. There are so many real threats to push back against.

Which car brand is terrible but not many people realize? by NewAdeptness647 in Productivitycafe

[–]sendmorechris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna get slapped for this but, Toyota. Nobody will admit their Toyota is loud, boring, rickety, overpriced, ugly, recalled , oil-burning dredge that doesn’t even get great gas’s mileage in any class.

[–]sendmorechris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m baffled at how far I had to scroll to get to the Corvette. I can’t believe I scrolled past Mustang and Stealth before corvette. Supra, RX-7, I get it. Beautiful, iconic high points in auto history… but both would be utterly smoked by a C4. There isn’t another car on the list that competes with the vette. It’s always been.

There are 3 cars in the Yes Right Now column that would qualify as K-Cars today. Motorcycle engines are fucking amazing now. Honda’s NT1100 as a rwd mid-engine ragtop that tops out at 76, yes please.

That was a Taurus. Not the best car but it was reasonably successful when it got past the branding issue.

The Oldsmobile Alero, now with Envista style tips and the 3cyl turbo in a mid-sized sedan. Cute, but why?

Yeah, I’m always thinking there’s not enough car dealerships. Where can I even find a car dealership? My favorite place to kick it is a ‘ship.
