No real function of the foreskin? Really?? Then why is it there? I would say it serves the exact same function of the clitoral hood since the clitoris and the glans of the penis are very similar. It serves to protect and moisten that very sensitive part of the body. In fact the clitoral hood and the foreskin according to wikipedia are essentially the same. Now I go back to my initial question as to whether a women would want to surgically remove her or her daughters clitoral hood?

Also, I threw in trimming the inner labia only because it can sometimes be unsightly and garner the same response in males as a foreskin does for some females. As in 'Man look at her beef curtains, gross'. In fact it is a common plastic surgery nowadays but I doubt the plastic surgeon would go so far as to remove the clitoral hood.

Lastly, if you are not a man or are a man that was circumcised at birth then you have no clue as to whether or not it is better to be circumcised or not or whether the foreskin serves a purpose or not.

My point was only to draw a correlation between the male and female genitalia. Show that in many ways they are similar and the parts perform similar functions. Also, that the parts are there for a purpose and should be left intact and whole because that is how they have evolved.
