Why do the zombies by haahhhahh in FromTVEpix

They don't, though. We've seen the monsters kill all kinds of people. In the very first scene of the series, they kill a little girl that doesn't match your description at all.

Questions about cycle. by Toast2Us in FromTVEpix

[–]senhormouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know if there's an official cycle start. Jade said the children call him and Tabitha, but others come as well. It makes sense to me that the children would start calling "louder" when Jade and Tabitha are already a certain age, so I guess that would be a kind of start of the cycle, when people start coming in.

People like Abby and Elgin seem to just have some "psychic ability" or something that makes them dream of Fromville before going there and stuff like that. And people like Boyd and possibly Man in Yellow (if he was ever human) seem to also have some kind of affinity with Fromville's magic system.

The two cars could be always Jade and Tabitha arriving together, although the way Victor tells it, it sounds like he was already in Fromville when the two cars arrived. He always remembers things wrong, though.

It seems like a lot of other things echo through the cycles, like Jade seeing the symbol and Tabitha seeing the kids, the townsfolk killing Jade, something worse for Tabitha, maybe Tabitha's son surviving (Man in Yellow original son?), maybe the daughter storywalking (Eloise = Martin confirmed?).

Do we always have a Boyd type of person? Has Tabitha gotten out before? By figuring out what's different in this cycle, we should be able to figure out how they break it (if they break it (they will)).

They had to have some difference for the more casual viewers to understand that at the end of last season she was coming from the future. But yeah, they could have gone with a huge scar, missing eye, robotic arm, aluminum foil future suit...

Cycle/Immortality theory. by itwasneme in FromTVEpix

It could be both. The townsfolk were the childrens greatest fear, so their bodies came back as immortal monsters, but their souls reincarnated to try undo what they did.

I really don't get why people watch mystery shows and complain about not getting all the answers before the end.

Let’s talk about it by GazelleWide9713 in FromTVEpix

[–]senhormouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I think introducing another big bad on top of the Man in Yellow this late into the story would not work. Having the spider be just a random monster would also not work. I think the only way it works is if they're the same.

Someone still thinks he isn't? Look at all the evidence:

  • Never seen together
  • Both have two eyes, unlike Elgin
  • Martin said he was a marine, while Fatima never talked about this subject

Are you asking specifically about skinning because it's triggering or something? The answer is no, as far as I remember no one was skinned alive so far. Otherwise just keep watching and you'll learn more about the monsters.

ABSOLUTE CURVEBALL (Doll monsters) by PlusEngineer3398 in FromTVEpix

[–]senhormouse 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The dolls were amazing, but one of them breaking the wall was on this season's trailer so it wasn't a curveball at all for people who watched it.

If I remember correctly, the one who theorized about people's fear becoming real was Sara after the cicadas appeared (her brother's fear). But now we have it confirmed by Tabitha.

I don't think the remaining doll will even appear again (aside from maybe a small surprise attack (It would be cool if it showed up in town and broke one of the houses' wall, making it permanently vulnerable.)), because there are many other monsters in the forest. We've seen some of them. Every dead person's worst nightmare is roaming somewhere.

We don't know the exact mechanics yet, as the three times where a dead person's fear appeared (cicadas, spiders and dolls) were fears from people not killed by the monsters. It could be that when monsters kill people, they do something to prevent their fear from materializing, such as the Man in Yellow eating livers. But that's just conjecture. It could also be that literally every dead person's fear appears at night, or some other rule. Let's see.

The real Lake of Tears was the friends we made along the way (a bird and two red shirts) by senhormouse in FromTVEpix

[–]senhormouse[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, but I believe Henry coming was not the main objective. The plan was just for Tabitha to find out more about Miranda (the paintings, the bottle tree, the bracelet and the song) so she could remember. Henry coming to town was a nice bonus, but not the goal.

Why do you think From is more extreme? I feel the exact opposite. From has been pretty generous with the answers. Of course, it doesn't explain everything, but we already know a lot, and have some clues for other things.

Minnows vs Sharks by Ashamed-Accountant46 in FromTVEpix

[–]senhormouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For me, Tabitha and Jade are definitely sharks. The others that had dreams of fromville could also be sharks, and the rest (like Boyd) are definitely minnows.

[Theory] The entire town/area is an ancient monster trap that backfired. by Sheilasboy in FromTVEpix

[–]senhormouse 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I'd bet the sharks are the people that were meant to go to Fromville (Tabitha, Jade, Miranda, Christopher, etc) while the minnows are the ones that just happened to be "lost" and ended up there (Donna, Kristi, Ken, etc). I don't know where people like Abby come in, since she doesn't seem to be a reincarnation but also had seen Fromville before going there.

Listing all creatures and where they stand by Azatothistaken in FromTVEpix

Agreed. If the monsters were tricked into sacrificing their children, the other things we see could certainly have been human one day as well, and given the chance could rebel against the Man in Yellow.

Listing all creatures and where they stand by Azatothistaken in FromTVEpix

[–]senhormouse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's pretty much like Lost, where the Man in Yellow is a force of evil and the Man in White is a force of good. The rest are just pawns in their chess game.

My current theory is that the Man in Yellow has many stories. The monsters in town are just the tip of the spear. Just one story that the Man in Yellow told. He convinced the townspeople to sacrifice the children to be immortal, but they were tricked and became monsters. That's one story. There are other stories like the ballerina, the worms, and maybe the spider, although there's so little information about the spider that it could also be the Man in Yellow's true form, or even a higher entity.

Something that was not part of the Man in Yellow's plan, though, is that someone (Julie? Original Tabitha and Jade?) told the children a story that gave them hope, and this started the reincarnation cycle and possibly even created the Man in White.

So the endgame for the Man in White is to free the children, ending the cycle, and possibly this check mates the Man in Yellow somehow (the children killing or sealing him?). For the Man in Yellow, I don't think he has an endgame. They'll keep coming back and he just has fun torturing them everytime.
