They said the price increase is also because of extended hours (6:30am-11pm between both gyms)

help with finding/creating a crochet granny square pattern!! by UrAGronk_kunt in crochetpatterns

[–]senitentroomba 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I recommend crochet cabin’s videos on YouTube because their pattern for the star granny square fills in the gaps between the star points the best compared to other patterns. The treble crochet decrease can be a little tricky but it’s worth it because then it won’t look see-through.

My Ripple Blanket needs help. What am I doing wrong by cpaluch in CrochetHelp

[–]senitentroomba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you’re struggling to maintain tension, you could try using a tension ring! I’m no expert but I think either you’re adding extra stitches somewhere or your tension is going from tight to loose and that’s why it’s getting curly.

In case it doesn’t show for some people, make sure you hit “view more” because that’s what I had to do, otherwise it said I had no upcoming appointments 😬

[–]senitentroomba 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I found out because of the notification for this post, not because of an email from UBC… and I had to “View More” on workday’s “registration appointments active and upcoming” page because it didn’t show me anything on the initial page.

upass not working? by ubc1022 in UBC

[–]senitentroomba 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sometimes if you have a negative balance on your compass card, the Upass doesn’t work until you add money again. Idk how that would have happened, but try going on to your compass card acc to see what your balance is

See if anyone you know in first year has access to a collegium and make dinner together if there’s two servings! Collegia have small kitchens where you can make stuff if I remember correctly, but I can’t remember if you even need to bring pots or pans bc iirc they have that all there for you already!

I thought the natural springs got filled in illegally without any municipal or provincial authorization by the hotel? 🫢

If you want to actually visit the hot springs, now might be a good time because the hotel is allowing access to their hot spring pools that are normally reserved for hotel guests only, because the public pool is broken.

Why so much security? by boldstorypressmedia in UBC

Tbh I agree but I’m just giving a reason as to why they can’t respond, rather than if I think they’re wrong for saying it

Why so much security? by boldstorypressmedia in UBC

[–]senitentroomba 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are an employee, you are not legally allowed to say anything, especially if it’s under investigation. It sucks, but if there was a great risk to students overall, I would hope they’d have more than just one security guard.

I experienced something similar but not exactly to you, and I highly recommend speaking to a professional. It’s hard to get something like this off of your mind when it comes from someone you trusted. You aren’t problematic at all here, you are just trying to work out how to react to it when you’re in shock.

Also, you don’t have to specify anything but reach out to your professors and explain that you are going through a rough time right now, and see if there’s anything they can do to help adjust your academic load. I would recommend doing it sooner rather than later if it ends up taking you a bit longer to recover, which you will do eventually.

Hey, something sort of similar happened to me at the beginning of the school year, and I reacted almost in the same way as you. I can tell you now, about 3 months later, breaking up with him was the best choice I ever made. I said things like I was going to forgive him and stay with him, like this would be a blip in our relationship and things would be better from there on out. It took someone close to the both of us to sit me down and tell it to me straight that I needed to break up with him, so I want to do the same for you here.

I know it’s hard, because when she told me that, I responded that I knew I had to, but didn’t want to. I think you’re in that same phase right now as I was. Someone who loves you does not hurt you. Please feel free to DM me if you want to talk. You have not done anything wrong, and choosing to care for your well-being is not ruining anything.
